3. INSTALLATION
Note!
Make sure external surface mounted camera 10-490-01 is not energised before installing it. Do not connect the device to the mains until installation
is complete.
To install the external surface mounted camera, perform the following steps:

Open the camera as follows:

Loosen the screws.
➥ 2
Slide off the cover plate.
➥ 3
Slide out the front panel with the camera.
➥ 2
Pull the connector.
➥ 3
Mount the rear panel on the wall using suitable screws.
Note!
Water ingress is possible if the incoming cable is inserted from top to bottom through the mounting hole.
You should therefore insert the incoming cable from bottom to top or horizontally through the mounting hole.

Connect the wiring as indicated on the wiring diagram on page 3.

Connect the front panel to the rear panel with the connector.

Close the camera as follows:

Slide the front panel with the camera onto the rear panel.

Slide on the cover plate..

Tighten the screws.
➥ 7
Remove the protective foil from the camera lens.
➥ 8
Determine the orientation of the camera and focus the camera image.

Loosen the screw (fig.1➐) and tilt the camera in the appropriate direction.
➥ 2
Loosen the screw (fig.1➑)and turn the camera. Ensure that the image remains horizontal.

Turn the ring (fig.1➒) to zoom in or out.
➥ 4
Turn the ring (fig.1➓) to focus the image.
➥ 5
Lightly tighten the screws.

Fit the protective cover.
