Connection and Driver Installation
At the time of preparation of this operating instruction, all drivers were located in
the directory "Y-1081 & Y-1082 USB TO RS485" of the provided CD (in unpacked
format).
With newer versions of the driver CD this might be different.
• Place the provided installation CD in an appropriate drive on your PC.
• Insert the USB plug on the USB-RS422/485 cable into a USB port on your computer.
• Windows recognises the new hardware and installs the required drivers from the CD.
If the driver on the CD is not in an unpacked format (e.g. as might be the case with
newer versions of the driver CD), you have to start e. g. the installation software
on the CD first.
The 9-pin SubD plug on the adapter can now be connected to a corresponding RS422/485
port on a device.
RS422/485 adapter with screw terminals
The delivery includes a small adapter with screwterminals. It can
be used for a simple cabling of a RS422/485 connection.
For the configuration of the screw terminals, please pay atten-
tion to the labelling on the board.
