1. BESCHREIBUNG
Nikobus-Farbensteuerung, zur Verwendung in Innenräumen.
Dieses Produkt ermöglicht es Ihnen, Ihre Atmosphärenbeleuchtung ganz persönlich einzustellen. Unter anderem
können Farben, Intensität, Modi und Szenarios ganz nach eigenem Wunsch eingestellt werden, so dass jeder
Raum zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis wird.
Die Farbensteuerung wurde für eine Verwendung mit Niko LED-Strips entwickelt. Es können sowohl RGB- als
auch monochrome LED-Strips an die Farbensteuerung angeschlossen werden.
2. INSTALLATION UND MONTAGE

Farbensteuerung zum ersten LED-Strip
Die Maximalabstände sind immer abhängig von der Ausgangsspannung des verwendeten Netzteils, dem Durch-
messer der Drähte und der Leistungsaufnahme am LED-Strip.
Die größtmögliche Leistungsaufnahme pro Farbensteuerung liegt bei 100 Watt.
Beispiel aus der Tabelle: Bei einer Leistung von 75 Watt und 1,5mm² Drahtdurchmesser beträgt der maximale
Abstand zwischen Stromversorgung und Farbensteuerung 20 Meter, und der maximale Abstand zwischen Far-
bensteuerung und dem ersten LED-Strip 10 Meter.
Anschluss: Achten Sie beim Anschluss eines RGB-LED-Strips darauf, dass die Abfolge der Farben an der
Farbensteuerung eingehalten wird (Rot am R-Anschluss, grün am G-Anschluss und blau am B-Anschluss). Für
Common ist der Anschluss C vorgesehen.
Bei Anschluss von monochromen LED-Strips ist die Belegung der Anschlüsse ohne Bedeutung, so lange die gesamte
Leistungsobergrenze von 100W und die Leistungsobergrenze pro Ausgang von 50Watt nicht überschritten wird.
Es sind drei Ausgänge für Pulsbreitenmodulation (PWM) vorgesehen, sowie ein Common-Anschluss. Somit
ist es möglich, drei Reihen monochromer LED-Strips oder eine Reihe RGB-LED-Strips an den drei Ausgängen
anzuschließen (siehe Schaltplan).
Das Produkt kann in eine Öffnung mit einem Durchmesser von 55mm und mit einer minimalen Deckeneinbau-
tiefe von 100mm eingebaut werden .
3. FUNKTIONSWEISE UND BETRIEB
Mit der Nikobus-Farbensteuerung können verschiedene Modi und Farben für die LED-Strips eingestellt werden.
Jede Nikobus-Farbensteuerung muss in der Nikobus Software programmiert werden; hierzu ist das Produkt mit
einer Programmierungstaste ausgestattet. Mittels dieser wird die eindeutige Adresse der Einheit übermittelt.

Modi, Farben und Helligkeit können über die Nikobus-Software eingestellt werden. Es gibt insgesamt 15 Anwen-
dermodi, von denen alle 15 für RGB-LED-Strips (u. a. Dimmen an/aus, Farben ändern, Helligkeit einstellen,...)
und 9 für monochrome LED-Strips (u. a. Dimmen an/aus, Verzögerung aus,...) geeignet sind. Mit eben dieser
Nikobus PC-Software können auch mehrere Farbensteuerungen in einer Master-Slave-Anordnung konfiguriert
werden, so dass diese synchron auf eine Bedienung reagieren. Hierbei können maximal vier Master in einer
Anlage und maximal acht Slaves an einem Master angeschlossen werden.
Wenn Sie die Nikobus-Software nicht verwenden, ist die Nikobus-Farbensteuerung standardmäßig auf den Mo-
dus 16 eingestellt, was bedeutet, dass Farbe und Helligkeit über einen Nikobus-Doppeldrucktaster eingestellt
werden können. Für alle anderen Modi wird die Nikobus-Software benötigt.
Manuelle Programmierung:
Wenn keine Nikobus PC-Software verwendet wird, können die RGB-Produkte mit Hilfe der Programmie-
rungstaste am Produkt programmiert werden .
Durch langes (> 1,6 Sekunden) Eindrücken der Programmierungstaste wird der Programmierungsmodus
gestartet; die LED bei der Programmierungstaste fängt an zu blinken. Geben Sie jetzt die gewünschte Bedie-
nung ein, um diese dem Produkt zuzuweisen. Nach der Programmierung einer Bedienung wird der Program-
mierungsmodus automatisch verlassen.
Wenn Sie den Programmierungsmodus vorher verlassen möchten, können Sie hierzu einfach kurz (< 1,6
Sekunden) auf die Programmierungstaste drücken.
Wenn die Programmierungstaste im Programmierungsmodus lange (> 1,6 Sekunden) gehalten wird, wird der
Speicher gelöscht. Die manuelle Programmierung wird bei einer Programmierung mit dem PC überschrieben.
Bitte beachten Sie: Es können maximal 32 Farbensteuerungen in einer Anlage angeschlossen sein.
Alle Nikobus-Farbensteuerungen müssen auf einer Seite eines PC-Logic-Moduls angebracht werden.

5. GESETZLICHE BESTIMMUNGEN
- Die Installation darf ausschließlich von einem Fachmann des Elektrohandwerks unter Berücksichtigung der
geltenden Vorschriften vorgenommen werden.
- Übergeben Sie dem Benutzer diese Gebrauchsanleitung. Sie ist den Unterlagen der elektrischen Anlage bei-
zufügen und muss auch eventuellen neuen Besitzern übergeben werden. Zusätzliche Exemplare erhalten Sie
über unsere Website oder unseren Servicedienst.
- Bei der Installation müssen Sie u.a. Folgendes berücksichtigen:
- die geltenden Gesetze, Normen und Vorschriften;
- den Stand der Technik zum Zeitpunkt der Installation;
- diese Gebrauchsanleitung die im Zusammenhang mit jeder spezifischen Anlage gesehen werden muss;
- die Regeln fachmännischen Könnens.

Im Falle eines Defektes an Ihrem Niko-Produkt, können Sie dieses mit einer genauen Fehlerbeschreibung
(Anwendungsproblem, festgestellter Fehler, usw.) an Ihren Moeller- oder Niko-EGH zurückbringen.
6. GARANTIEBESTIMMUNGEN
- Garantiezeitraum: Zwei Jahre ab Lieferdatum. Als Lieferdatum gilt das Rechnungsdatum zu dem der Endkunde
das Produkt gekauft hat. Falls keine Rechnung mehr vorhanden ist, gilt das Produktionsdatum.
- Der Endkunde ist verpflichtet, Niko über den festgestellten Mangel innerhalb von zwei Monaten zu informie-
ren.
- Im Falle eines Mangels an dem Produkt hat der Endkunde das Recht auf eine kostenlose Reparatur oder Ersatz.
Dies wird von Niko entschieden.
- Niko ist nicht für einen Mangel oder Schaden verantwortlich, der durch unsachgemäße Installation, nicht
bestimmungsgemäßen oder unvorsichtigen Gebrauch oder falsche Bedienung oder Anpassen/Ändern des
Produktes entsteht.
- Die zwingenden Vorschriften der nationalen Gesetzgebung bezüglich des Verkaufs von Konsumgütern und
der Schutz des Kunden in den Ländern in denen Niko direkt oder über seine Tochtergesellschaften, Filialen,
Distributoren, Handelsvertretungen oder Vertretern verkauft, haben Vorrang vor den obigen Bestimmungen.

1. DESCRIPTION
Nikobus colour controller, suitable for indoor use.
This product allows you to personalize your ambient lighting. Colours, intensity, modes and light scenes can all
be programmed as you desire, thereby providing each room with its own individual character.
This colour controller is designed for use with the Niko LED strips. Both RGB and monochrome LED strips can
be connected to the colour controller.
2. INSTALLATION AND MOUNTING

The maximum distances always depend on the output voltage of the power supply used, the wire cross section
and the power connected to the LED strip.
A maximum power of 100W per colour controller applies.
Example from the table: at a power of 75W and a 1.5mm² wire cross section, the maximum distance between
the power supply and the colour controller is 20m and the maximum distance between the colour controller
and the first LED strip 10m.
Connection: when connecting an RGB LED strip, make sure to respect the order of the colours on the colour
controller (red on the R-connector, green on the G-connector, and blue on the B-connector). Also the common
has a dedicated place on the C-connector.
When using monochrome LED strips, they may be connected to connector 1, 2 or 3, so long as the total maxi-
mum of 100W and the maximum power per output of 50W are not exceeded.
There are 3 PWM outputs and 1 common connection, which makes it possible to distribute 3 series of mono-
chrome LED strips over 3 outputs or to use the 3 outputs for one series of RGB LED strips (see diagram).
The product can be flush mounted in a hole diameter of 55mm and a minimum height in a false ceiling of
100mm.
3. OPERATION AND USE
The Nikobus colour controller allows you to choose various modes and colours for the LED strips.
Each Nikobus colour controller must be programmed in the Nikobus software, using the programming button on
the product. This button transmits the unique address of the controller. Further details on the programming of
the controller can be found in the Nikobus software manual.
The modes, colours and brightness can be adjusted via the Nikobus software. Total of 15 control modes: all 15
for RGB LED strips (including dim on/off, change colour, adjust brightness, etc.) and 9 for monochrome LED
strips (including dim on/off, delayed switch-off, etc.). The same Nikobus software can be used to connect mul-
tiple colour controllers in a master-slave configuration, so they will respond synchronously to the same control.
Such a configuration is limited to maximum four masters per system and maximum 8 slaves per master.
If you do no use the Nikobus software, the Nikobus colour controller is set by default to mode 16, meaning
that the colour and the brightness can be set with a dual Nikobus pushbutton. For all other modes the Nikobus
software has to be used.
Manual programming:
If the Nikobus PC software is not used, the RGB products can be programmed using the programming button
on the product.
Press and hold down the programming button (> 1.6 seconds) to activate the programming mode, the LED
next to the programming button will light up. Then press the desired control to assign it to the product. After
programming one control, the programming mode is automatically exited.
To end the programming mode prematurely, briefly press the programming button (< 1.6 seconds).
Pressing and holding down the programming button (> 1.6 seconds) in programming mode will erase the
memory. Manual programming is overwritten during PC programming.
Attention: up to 32 colour controllers can be installed in a single system.
All Nikobus colour controllers must be installed on the same side of a PC logic.

5. LEGAL WARNINGS
- The installation has to be carried out by a qualified person and in compliance with the statutory regulations.
- This user manual has to be handed over to the user. It has to be included in the electrical installation file
and has to be passed on to any new owners. Additional copies are available on the Niko website or via the
support service.
- During installation, the following has to be taken into account (not limited to list below):
- The statutory laws, standards and regulations;
- The state of the art technique at the moment of installation;
- This user manual, which must be read within the scope of each specific installation, only states general
regulations;
- The rules of proper workmanship

In case of a defect, you can return your product to a registered Niko wholesaler, together with a clear descrip-
tion of your complaint (Conditions of use, stated defect...).
6. GUARANTEE PROVISIONS
- Period of guarantee: 2 years from date of delivery. The delivery date is the invoice date of purchase of the
product by the consumer. If there is no invoice, the date of production applies.
- The consumer is obliged to inform Niko in writing about the defect, within two months after stating the
defect.
- In case of a failure to conform, the consumer has the right to a repair or replacement (decided by Niko) free of
charge.
- Niko cannot be held liable for a defect or damage as a result of an incorrect installation, improper or careless
use or wrong usage or transformation of the goods.
- The compulsory regulations of the national legislation concerning the sales of consumer goods and the protection
of the consumers in the countries where Niko sells, directly or via sister or daughter companies, chain stores,
distributors, agents or permanent sales representatives, take priority over the rules and regulations mentioned
above.
