Before using the article for the fi rst time, please read the instructions
through carefully and keep them for future reference. If the article is
given to someone else, it should always be accompanied by these

Supplementary information
Intended Use
The article is intended to be used to convert sunlight into energy
at home or on the move. The rechargeable battery of the solar
unit charges up in daylight via the solar panel and stores the
energy.
The article is suitable for use as an external battery for charging
devices such as mobile phones, tablets, MP3 players etc.
The article is suitable for use as a torch.
Use the article only as described in the instructions. Any other
use is deemed to be improper. Keep the instructions in a safe
place.
The article is designed for personal use only and is not intended
for commercial applications.
The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused
by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at
repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
ATTENTION: Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging
material away from children and animals.
The article is not a toy! Keep children and animals away from
the article in order to prevent injuries.
Do not take the article apart. Do not make any changes to the
article. Have any repairs done only by a specialist workshop or
the customer service department.
If the rechargeable battery has leaked, do not allow your skin,
eyes and mucous membranes to come into contact with the
battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites
with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as
soon as possible.
Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a fi re, immersed
in liquids or short-circuited.
Do not drop the article or subject it to severe impact.
Do not use the article
– if it and / or the USB cable display visible signs of damage,
– if there is an unusual odour,
– if it overheats.
Never immerse the article in water or other liquids! It is only
protected against splashing. Note here that the silicone
covers must be seated correctly on the inputs and outputs
of the article!
Never touch the article with damp or wet hands.
Make sure that the USB cable does not become squashed or
bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Maintain a suffi cient distance from heat sources such as hobs
or ovens in order not to damage the article. Do not place any
naked fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the immediate vicinity of
the article.
Do not place any heavy objects on the article and do not bend
it.
Instructions
Do not transport the article together with pointed and / or sharp
objects. The solar panel may be damaged.
The spring hook is only suitable for hanging up the article. Do
not use it for other purposes!
Make sure that the solar panel is always clean so that the
greatest possible absorption of light is guaranteed. You should
therefore clean it with a damp cloth from time to time. Do not
use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the
article! They could damage the surface.

Use
The integrated battery is only partly charged when it is
delivered. Charge the battery completely before using the
article for the fi rst time. Please consult the technical data for
the battery charge time.
There are two options for charging the article.
Charge integrated battery via solar panel
Position the article in a place where it can receive as much
direct sunlight as possible. You can also attach the article to
your rucksack or similar bag using the spring hook which is
also supplied and charge the article while you are on the move.
The solar charge display (11) lights up during the charging
process and goes out again when insuffi cient sunlight
falls on the solar panel (6).
The charge time is dependent on the intensity of the solar
radiation. The more direct sunlight hits the solar panel (6), the
faster the battery charges.
Charge integrated battery via USB cable
1. Pull the silicone cover (5) off the Micro USB input (9).
2. Connect the USB cable that is also supplied to the Micro USB
input (9) on the article.
3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a power source, e.g.
a computer or via a suitable mains adapter (not included in the
items supplied) to a plug socket. The charge status display (10)
lights up once.
