Lube inside rim of Rubber Sump
Flange with Silicon Lube (provided).
Slide Drain Pipe Muffler into
Filtration Module.
Rinse BIO-Wheel

Recommended Return Connection
NOTE:
Pumps and return connections
components are NOT included.
There are many possible methods of
plumbing. The following instructions are
an example of a possible return connection.
A.
Wrap threaded end of Pump Elbow with Teflon
Tape (clockwise, 3 turns). Screw Pump Elbow into
Pump Intake. Hand tighten. Using pliers or channel
locks, tighten an additional
/
turn.

B.
Apply PVC cement to smooth end of
Hose Barb. Attach to Return Bulkhead Fitting.
C.
Attach one end of hose to Hose Barbs glued to
the Bulkhead, and one end to threaded end of Pump
Output. Secure connections with Snapper Clamps.
D.
Repeat steps
A-C
on Right Filtration Module.

Overflow Connection
A.
Position Sump under aquarium.
B.
Apply standard clear PVC cement to Bulkhead
Connecting Elbow and insert end into Bulkhead
Fitting.
C.
Connect ends of Flow Tube Hose to Connecting
Elbows and secure with Snapper Clamps.
D.
Press-fit Sump Connecting Elbow onto Drain
Pipe Muffler against Rubber Sump Flange.
DO NOT glue.
Repeat steps
on the right Filtration Module.

Startup
Water Spilling
Over Corner-Flo Partitions
Bulkhead Fitting
Apply PVC Cement
Bulkhead

Fill aquarium until water spills over the
Corner-Flo Partitions and starts to fill
the Sump.
B.
Directly fill sump until water is within
1" from the top.
Plug in pumps to start Sump Filtration
C.
System Modules. Allow pumps to operate
for a few minutes.
D.
When water level in Sump stabilizes, apply
"MAXIMUM WATER LEVEL" sticker to sump.
NOTE:
MAXIMUM WATER LEVEL indicates how
much water to add, to the sump while system is
running, when replacing water due to evaporation.
CAUTION:
NEVER remove Bulkhead Fittings while
water remains in aquarium. Never operate pumps
without water.
