Xtricity 4-80320 Instructions

Two functions can be used to customize comfort and improve
air circulation:
OSCILLATION: This provides widespread breeze distribution.
To activate oscillation, push down the oscillation knob (located
on top of the fan's motor housing). To turn off oscillation for a
targeted breeze setting, pull the oscillation pin up. Oscillation
can be controlled while the fan is operating.
TILT: This provides steady breeze distribution. To target the
breeze, steady the base of the fan with one hand and grip the
motor housing with the other. Carefully tilt the head of the fan
until it reaches the desired angle. Be careful not to tilt the head
back further than it is intended to go. Pushing it too far will
damage the unit.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK, MATCH WIDE
BLADE OF PLUG TO WIDE SLOT, AND FULLY INSERT.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Always disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet
when cleaning your fan.
2. Wipe the back of the grille and exterior surfaces with a soft,
damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before operating.
3. Do not use harsh cleaners or materials to clean this unit,
as doing so will cause damage to the surface.
CAUTION: DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ALLOW WATER
TO RUN INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE FAN AS THIS IS A FIRE
AND/OR ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD. THE FAN MOTOR IS
FACTORY LUBRICATED FOR LIFE AND WILL REQUIRE NO
FURTHER LUBRICATION. NO OTHER USER MAINTENANCE
IS REQUIRED OR RECOMMENDED. IF SERVICE IS REQUIRED,
SEND YOUR FAN TO THE NEAREST AUTHORIZED SERVICE
DEPOT.
STORING YOUR FAN
1. Clean according to above instructions.
2. Retain the original packaging to store your fan.
3. Always store in a clean, dry place.
4. Never store while still plugged in.
5. Never wrap cord tightly around the fan or put any stress
on the cord where it enters the fan as it could cause the cord
to fray or break.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM: Fan is not turning on.
PROBABLE CAUSE: A. Fan is not plugged into a 120V AC, 60Hz
polarized outlet/receptacle.
B. Breaker has tripped or fuse has been blown.
SOLUTION: A. Ensure unit is in the OFF position. Plug in unit
and attempt to turn on again. B. Please check your electrical
box to confirm the breaker has not been tripped. Ensure unit is
in OFF position. Plug in unit and attempt to turn on again.
C. Attempt to plug unit into another outlet.
PROBLEM: Oscillation function is not working.
PROBABLE CAUSE: The oscillation pin has not been activated.
SOLUTION: Simply pull press the oscillation pin down to
start the oscillation function. This can be done while the fan is
operating.
PROBLEM: It is on but air coming out of it is not strong enough.
PROBABLE CAUSE: There is dust built up at the back of the fan.
SOLUTION: Turn fan OFF and unplug. Using a soft, dry cloth,
wipe the back of the grille to remove any dust build-up. Plug in
unit and turn fan back ON to resume normal operation.
Le ventilateur dispose de deux modes de fonctionnement
pouvant être utilisés pour régler le niveau de confort selon vos
goûts tout en améliorant la circulation d'air dans la pièce.
OSCILLATION : Pour obtenir une distribution d'air à grand
angle. Pour activer le mode oscillation, enfoncez le bouton
d'oscillation (situé sur le haut de la tête motrice du ventilateur).
Pour mettre fin à l'oscillation et produire un débit d'air plus
intensif, tirez sur la tige d'oscillation. Il est possible de contrôler
l'oscillation alors que le ventilateur fonctionne.
INCLINAISON : Ce mode de fonctionnement produira une
distribution d'air uniforme. Pour incliner la tête du ventilateur
de façon à concentrer le débit d'air à un angle, tenez la base du
ventilateur d'une main et le caisson moteur de l'autre. Inclinez
soigneusement la tête du ventilateur jusqu'à ce qu'il ait atteint
l'angle désiré. Attention de ne pas incliner la tête au-delà de
ses limites pour éviter d'endommager l'appareil.
MISE EN GARDE : POUR PRÉVENIR LES CHOCS ÉLECTRIQUES,
JUMELEZ LA LAME ÉPAISSE DE LA FICHE À LA GROSSE
FENTE DE LA PRISE ET INSÉREZ COMPLÈTEMENT.
NETTOYAGE
1. Toujours débrancher le cordon de la prise électrique avant
de nettoyer le ventilateur.
2. Utilisez un linge doux et humide pour essuyer la poussière
à l'arrière de la grille et sur les surfaces. S'assurer que le
ventilateur est bien asséché avant de le remettre en marche.
3. Évitez d'utiliser des nettoyants abrasifs et des matières
rugueuses pour nettoyer le ventilateur, ce qui pourrait
entraîner des dommages.

PART DE L'UTILISATEUR.SEND YOUR FAN TO THE NEAREST
AUTHORIZED SERVICE DEPOT.
RANGEMENT
1. Nettoyer le ventilateur selon les directives de nettoyage
indiquées ci-dessus.
2. Conserver l'emballage d'origine pour y ranger votre ventilateur.
3. Ranger dans un endroit propre et au sec.
4. Ne jamais ranger l'appareil tandis qu'il est branché.
5. N'appliquer aucune pression sur le cordon. Éviter de l'enrouler
ou de tirer dessus pour prévenir tout dommage.
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLÈME: Le ventilateur n'entre pas en marche.
CAUSE PROBABLE: A. Le ventilateur n'est pas branché dans une
prise polarisée 120V AC, 60Hz B. Le coupe-circuit/fusible a été
déclenché.
SOLUTION: A. S'assurer que l'appareil se trouve à la position OFF.
Brancher l'appareil et tenter de le remettre en marche. B.Vérifier
votre coffret électrique pour vous assurer que le coupe-circuit
n'est pas grillé. S'assurer que l'appareil est hors tension. Brancher
l'appareil et tenter de le remettre en marche. C. Essayer de brancher
l'appareil dans une autre prise de la maison.
PROBLÈME: Le mode Oscillation ne fonctionne pas.
CAUSE PROBABLE: La tige d'oscillation n'a pas été actionnée.
SOLUTION: Tirer tout simplement sur la tige pour mettre l'oscillation
en marche. Ceci peut être fait alors que le ventilateur est en marche.
PROBLÈME: Le ventilateur est en marche mais le débit d'air qui en
dégage n'est pas assez puissant.
CAUSE PROBABLE: Accumulation de poussière au dos du ventilateur.
SOLUTION: Mettre le ventilateur à la position OFF et débrancher.
En vous servant d'un linge doux et sec, essuyer le dos de la grille
pour enlever les accumulations de poussière. Brancher l'appareil
et remettre le ventilateur en marche pour lui faire reprendre son
fonctionnement normal.
