Instruction of ventilation control:
The ventilation control is used for the controlled and optimal aeration process of grain and oil seeds.
With the help of a mechanical hygrostat and thermostat sensor, the outside temperature and
humidity are measured. The fan is started or stopped on the basis of this values.
Installation:
The ventilation control may only be connected by professional personnel. The circuit diagram is
included in the control box. The sensors and controls should be close to the fan. The ideal location
for the facility is the northern side of the hall, if possible.
Attention: The sensors must be connected as NC contacts so that they can switch properly.
Function:
The fan control works depending on the air humidity and temperature of the outside air. You can see
the setting values in the attached table.
Example:
Your bulk goods (wheat/barley/rapeseed) have a temperature of 25 °C
It is recommended to set the grain temperature on the thermostat. This is now the upper limit
temperature for fan operation. The maximum relative air humidity from the table (page 2 table
marked in green) is set to 75%. This is set on the hygrostat.
As the temperature of the bulk material decreases, you must manually adjust the thermostat value
downwards. Depending on the ventilation conditions 1-2 times a day.
The control can be switched off when the storage temperature reaches 13 °C.
If biological activity increases (increased temperature), start ventilation again.
It is also possible to cool with warm outside air, but only with very dry air (table marked in red). In
this ventilation, an evaporation process (drying) takes place, in which cold develops.
If the ventilation process requires other parameters, please refer to the table.
