Christmas Tree Lights Touch Control

ENCLOSED YOU WILL FIND:
• Ornament
• Ornament Cord
• Converter
IMPORTANT
• Do not install over 800 miniature bulbs or 400 watts
incandescent to this converter box.
• Do not use with motorized tree ornaments. The
dimming feature could prematurely wear out the
motor.
Note: Case will get warm. This is normal for a dimming
device.
INSTALLATION:
1. Hang tree lights according to the manufacturer's
directions.
2. Plug Christmas tree lights into an outlet to make sure
they work.
3. Attach one end of the ornament cord to the brass arm
found on the bottom of the dimmer converter and the
opposite end to the brass ornament.
4. Plug the tree lights into dimmer converter unit.
5. Place the ornament in a convenient location on your
Christmas tree.
6. Plug the dimmer converter into the wall outlet.
7. Wait a moment, then touch the brass ornament to
reach the desired level of lighting or to turn on/off the
lights.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Christmas tree lights will not come on.
• Check that tree lights are plugged into the converter.
• Check that the dimmer converter is plugged into the
wall outlet.
• Check that the ornament cord is attached to the brass
arm tightly on the converter.
Tree lights change light levels by themselves.
• Move to a new location and plug into a different wall
outlet. Line noise on some circuits may trigger the
converter.
• A cordless phone or intercom operation can cause
lights to change light levels. Use a ground isolator
(filter) plug between the phone/intercom and power
outlet.
Tree lights come on – do not advance.
• Check that the brass ornament is properly attached to
the brass arm on the converter.
• Moisten your finger and touch the bell. If the lights now
advance, you may be one of those few people with
skin that is too dry to be conductive and will not trigger
the converter.
• Try plugging in the ornament in a room with a wood
floor without carpet. Some carpets contain conductive
material that grounds out the touch sensitivity circuit.
• Calluses on fingers act as an insulator. Try touching the
ornament with the back of your hand.

IMPORTANT
• Ne pas brancher plus de 800 ampoules
miniatures ou 400 W à incandescence sur le
convertisseur.
• Ne pas utiliser avec des décorations motorisées.
La fonction de gradateur peut causer l'usure
anticipée des moteurs.
Remarque :
Le boîtier deviendra chaud. Ceci est
normal pour un gradateur.
INSTALLATION :
1. Suspendre les lumières de Noël selon les
directives du fabricant.
2. Brancher les lumières de Noël dans une prise de
courant pour vérifier si elles fonctionnent.
3. Connecter un bout du filde la décoration sur le
fond du bras de laiton du convertisseur et l'autre
bout sur la décoration en laiton.
4. Brancher alors les lumières de Noël dans le
convertisseur.
5. Suspendre la décoration à un endroit pratique sur
l'arbre de Noël.
6. Brancher le convertisseur dans une prise de
courant.
7. Attendre un moment puis toucher la décoration
pour obtenir l'intensité lumineuse voulue ou pour
éteindre/allumer les lumières.

DÉPANNAGE
Les lumières de Noël ne s'allument pas.
• Vérifier si elles sont branchées dans le
convertisseur.
• Vérifier si le convertisseur est branché dans une
prise de courant.
• Vérifier si le cordon de la décoration est bien
connecté au bras en laiton du convertisseur.
L'intensité lumineuse varie d'elle-même.
• Déplacer les lumières et les brancher dans un
autre prise de courant. Les bruits de ligne de
certains circuits peuvent affecter le convertisseur.
• Un téléphone ou un interphone sans fil peut faire
varier l'intensité. Poser un filtre de mise à la terre
entre le téléphone/interphone et la prise de
courant.
Les lumières s'allument mais l'intensité ne varie
pas.
• S'assurer que la décoration est bien connectée au
bras en laiton du convertisseur.
• Humecter son doigt et toucher la cloche. Si
l'intensité ne varie pas, vous avez peut-être la
peau trop sèche pour être conductrice et
actionner le convertisseur.

IMPORTANTE

• Ne se use con ornamentos motorizados. El
atenuador puede causar el desgaste prematuro

Nota:
La caja pondráse caliente. Esto es normal con
un atenuador.
INSTALACIÓN:
1. Cuelgue las lámparas del árbol según las
instrucciones del fabricante.
2. Enchufe las lámparas del árbol en una toma de
corriente para asegurar que las funcionan.
3. Conecte un extremo del cable del adorno al
brazo de latón que se encuentra en la parte
inferior del transformador del atenuador y el otro
extremo al adorno de latón.
4. Después, enchufe las lámparas del árbol en el
transformador.
5. Ponga el timbre de láton en uno sitio conveniente
en el árbol de Navidad.
6. Enchufe el transformador en una toma de
corriente.
7. Espere un momento, luego toque el adorno de
latón para obtener la intensidad de luz deseada,
o para encender o apagar las luces.

SOLUCION DE PROBLEMAS
Las lámparas del árbol de Navidad no se
encienden.
• Asegure que las lámparas estan enchufada en el
transformador.
• Asegure que el transformador está enchufada en
la toma de corriente.
• Asegúrese de que el cordón del elemento
decorativo esté bien sujeto al brazo de latón en el
transformador.
La intensidad de las lámparas cambia sola.
• Ponga las lámparas en un otro sitio y enchufelas
en una otra toma de corriente. Los ruidos de
circuito pueden actionar el transformador.
• Un teléfono o una estación de intercomunicación
inalámbrica puede causar una variación de la
intensidad. Use un filtro antiparasitario entre el
teléfono/estación y la toma de corriente.
Las lámparas encienden, sin variación de
intensidad.
• Asegúrese de que el elemento decorativo esté
unido correctamente al brazo de latón en el
