Proper Use / Warranty
•
These products are designed to decorate outdoor areas around
the home, terrace, balcony and garden. The storage battery
charges during the daytime via the solar cell fi eld. The accumulated
energy allows the LED lights to illuminate at night.

The products are intended for private and not for commercial use.
Only use the products as described in the instructions. Any other
use is deemed improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.
•
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts to
repair are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal
wear and tear.
Important Notes
❐ Risk of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children
and animals.
❐ Children must be under supervision to ensure that they do not
play with the products. They could injure themselves with the tip
of the ground spikes, among other things.
❐ In the event of extreme weather conditions (e. g. storm, hail) or if
you do not intend to use the products for a prolonged period of
time, turn off the solar units and store the product in a dry place.
❐ Never submerge the products in water or other liquids! They are
only splashproof.
❐ Do not disassemble the products (except for removing the storage
battery prior to disposal of the solar unit). Only have the product
repaired by a qualifi ed workshop or by the customer service
department.
❐ Do not allow the products to fall and do not subject them to
severe percussions.
❐ Do not use the products if they exhibit visible damages.
❐ If a storage battery leaks, make sure that the battery acid does not
come into contact with your skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. In
case of contact with battery acid, rinse the affected area immediately
with plenty of clean water and seek immediate medical attention.
❐ Storage batteries may not be disassembled, disposed of in fi re,
immersed in liquids or short circuited.
❐ Ensure that the solar fi elds are always clean for the greatest
possible collection of light. Therefore, clean them occasionally with
a damp cloth. Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners
to clean the products! They could damage the surface.
❐ To ensure they activate automatically, the solar lights may not be
situated near other light sources such as street lamps or other
lamps.

Activation and Deactivation
A sliding switch is located on the bottom side of the solar unit. To
activate the product, push it to position ON. To deactivate it, push the
sliding switch to position OFF.
Start-up
The solar unit's storage battery must charge for approximately
8 hours in order for the LEDs to illuminate.
1. Unpack the product contents and remove all protective wrappers
and stickers, if present. Check all parts for possible transport
damages. Should you identify any transport damages, please
promptly consult the customer service department.
Note: You will fi nd the ground spike in the pole. Pull it out.
2. Insert the ground spike, the pole and the solar unit into each other.
Place a snowy owl on the LED bracket of the solar unit. Assemble
the second light too.
3. Activate the solar unit.
4. Mount the products in a place where they can collect direct
sunlight during the whole day preferably (ideally in open areas,
not underneath trees etc.). Insert the ground spikes in the ground.
Make sure that they are securely anchored in the soil.
5. Fold the solar fi elds up and align them towards the sun.
The storage battery can now be charged by the sunlight. At dusk, the
LEDs will automatically turn on. At dawn, the LEDs turn off and the
storage battery recharges via the solar cell fi eld.
Disposal
The packaging material can be recycled. Dispose of the
packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner and make it
available for the recyclable material collection-service.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally-friendly
manner. The product does not belong in the household
garbage. Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electrical
and electronic appliances. For more information, please
contact the administration in your community.
The storage battery must be removed and disposed of
separately before disposing of the product: Loosen the screws
of the solar unit. Afterwards, you can carefully remove the
storage battery.
To protect the environment, batteries and storage batteries
may not be disposed of together with normal household
waste. Instead they must be turned in at collection points.
Also be sure to observe applicable legal regulations on
battery disposal.
