Attention: This will delete all of your settings and saved stations!

Firmware Update

An essential part of our corporate philosophy is the constant improvement of our devices.
For this reason we have provided the Radio with an USB port. This USB port is solely
responsible for the firmware/software update, therefore it is not capable of transferring
any other data.
Preparation
Please visit the following website:

and choose the NOXON Journaline as your product.

Download the latest firmware and unpack it into the main directory of your USB stick
(not into a subfolder). It is also important that the USB stick is formatted in FAT32 format.
Other formats are not supported by the Radio.
It is possible that the device is automatically reset to its factory settings on a firmware
update. This means your individual settings will get lost. We apologize for this, but this is
partly necessary to really update the full functionality of the device.
Flash process
1. Turn off the device with the power switch on the rear panel (do not switch the device
into standby).
2. Insert the prepared USB stick into the USB port on the rear panel.
3. Press the SCAN button, keep holding it down, and then turn on the device.
4. A progress bar will display the flash process now.
This process should not be interrupted under any circumstances. Do not power
off the device or unplug the USB stick during the update process since this would
irreversible destroy the device.
5. If no progress bar is shown, the USB stick is not detected by the Radio. Please check
if the USB stick is inserted correctly. If this is the case, please review and repeat the
steps specified above.
6. After successfully updating the firmware the message "Done" will be displayed and
shortly thereafter the display turns black.
7. Turn off the device with the power switch on the rear panel (do not switch the device
into standby).
8. Now you can remove the USB stick and switch your Radio back on again.
