340-00050 / 340-00051
Read the complete manual before carrying out the installation and activating the system.
1. DESCRIPTION
The power supplies are suitable for powering LEDs and are designed for DIN rail mounting. The 24 Vdc output
voltage is stable with a narrow tolerance, small ripple and high efficiency. The output power range is adjustable
(see technical data).
The total connected load can be a maximum of 60 W (340-00050) or 100 W (340-00051). A blue LED on the
power supply unit indicates whether the unit is correctly connected and whether 24 Vdc is available.
The power supplies are equipped with an input-surge current limiter. They are protected against overloading,
overvoltage, overheating and short circuiting. The power supplies comply with the safety standard (EN 61558-1) and
the EMC standards (EN 61558-2-16; EN 55032 Class B; EN55024; EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-3-3).
2. MOUNTING AND CONNECTIONS
The DIN rail power supplies have 2 outputs to which LEDs can be connected.
The power supply has a width of 3U (60 W version) or 4U (100 W version) and can be placed in a DIN rail cabinet.
The load must be connected between the connection terminals '+' and '-' (see fig. 1).

Fig. 1B Wiring diagram 100 W (340-00051) DIN-rail LED power supply
Mounting recommendations:
- If you place various modules alongside each other, be sure to leave sufficient space in-between to allow good
ventilation and cooling of the module: keep 5 mm free on the left and right sides and 10 mm at the bottom. If
the nearby product happens to be a heat source, leave 10 to 15 cm between both modules.
- Always mount the power supply vertically with the input at the bottom and the outputs at the top. No other
mounting direction is permitted.
- Place the power supplies preferably at the bottom of the distribution cabinet.
- Check the temperature. If the temperature in the distribution cabinet rises too high (max. 45 °C), make sure
to provide additional ventilation to guarantee an optimal life span. Provide sufficient space at the top of the
board. Place a ventilator if necessary.
- In case of high temperatures, take the following power consumption graphs into account (fig. 2a and 2b).
- For 340-00051: if the ambient temperature is higher than 35 °C, the product must be connected with wiring
that is resistant to a minimum of 80 °C.
- Try to spread the load of the power supply across the various connection terminals '+' and '-' to distribute
the current and thermal tensions across the connection terminals.
