In order to reduce the risk or serious injury, the following procedure must be observed when stopping the
system, during assembly, cleaning or when produc t transfer is stopped.

Operate the air inlet pressure regulator to the pump until it is in the minimum position (turning to the
left). Close the air inlet stop cock to the pump.

Open the product outlet stop cock of the pump with a container near in order to collect the product.
If you have reason to believe the cap or the hose is completely clogged, or that the pressure has not been
totally eliminated after having followed the procedure described above, loosen the hose connector VERY
GENTLY in order to reduce the pressure gradually, and finally remove it altogether. Clean the pump or the
hose immediately.
A guide is given below for the most frequent problems occurring during application. It is advisable to consult
this guide before disassembling the equipment.
Air bubbles in product outlet.
The pump is obstructed expelling
air via the exhaust.
Small amount of material
reaches gun.
The pump changes cycles when
the product outlet is closed.
Continuous air leak.
Product comes out through
packing gland.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

WARNING
Hydraulic cylinder (item 23 figure-1) with
threaded ends, dented or cracked.
Product suction pipe not tight enough
Pump suction valve assembly loose or poorly
sealed (No. 26 figure-1)
Incorrectly mounted or worn distributor seal
(No. 30 figure-1)
Damaged (no. 3 or no. 9 figure-1) pilot spring.
Not enough air inlet pressure.
Blocked product outlet hose.
Suction hose loose or small diameter.
Dirty, seized or damaged product valves.
Loose product inlet connectors or connections.
The pump takes in air by means of a loose
connection on the suction stroke.
Dirty or faulty suction valve.
Piston valve dirty or faulty.
Worn air motor seal (no. 5 figure-1).
Worn lip seal (no. 7 figure-2).
Hydraulic cylinder scratched or worn.
Faulty lip seal (No. 11 figure-1).
Rubber seal (No. 2 figure-1).
Loose packing gland or worn packing gland seals.
Worn packing gland seals.

Rework ends with the
correct tool.
Tighten loose joins
Tighten or replace
Replace faulty seals.
Replace spring
Open air inlet regulator.
Clean or replace outlet hose.
Tighten suction hose or place
hose of appropriate diameter
for product to be used (in
accordance with its viscosity).
Clean valves or replace.
Tighten connections firmly.
Check all connections.
Clean or replace.
Clean or replace.
Replace faulty seal.
Replace.
Replace.

Re-tighten.
