Maintenance

To avoid severe personal injury, always remove
the battery pack from the tool before starting any
maintenance procedure.
No regular maintenance is needed for this power tool
other than the following:
• Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, and any other condition that may
affect the power tool's operation. If damaged, have
the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly main-
tained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Use only a dry, soft cloth for wiping the unit.
• Do not use solvents or flammable liquids to clean
the tool body. Solvents or flammable liquids
could ignite and cause serious injury or property
damage.
• Do not use a damp cloth, thinner, benzene, or
other volatile solvents for cleaning.
• To prevent the risk of serious personal injury or
fire, do not try to repair the tool by yourself. Never
disassemble or modify the tool body. There are no
user-repairable parts inside.
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained.
Failure to observe this precaution may result in injury
and property damage.
Check for power tool service stations on the
Greenlee website at www.greenlee.com or contact
Greenlee Technical Support at 1-800-435-0786.
When using accessories such as hole saws, step bits,
auger bits, etc., always use manufacturer's instruc-
tions for their usage.
