Intended Use
This product is intended to provide protection against noise exposure at the workplace. Effectiveness
includes important considerations such as comfort, fit, ability to communicate and compatibility with other
personal protective equipment.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
result in other hazards. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product
available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and
especially observe the safety information. If
you do not follow the safety instructions and
information on proper handling in this manual,
we assume no liability for any resulting personal
injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) General Information
• The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of
children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around
carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures,
direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical
stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product
safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer
be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor
ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-
related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts
or a fall even from a low height can damage the
product.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the
operation, safety or connection of the product.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by
these operating instructions, contact our technical
support service or other technical personnel.
b) Earmuff
• Specified features will only be met if the earmuffs
are in the correct size, is properly fitted and is in
good condition.
• An employer who provides a worker with hearing
protection should provide training and instruction
relating to care and use including limitations,
proper fitting, inspection and maintenance. If
applicable, cleaning and disinfection.
• To achieve the maximum protection available,
hearing protection must be worn during the entire
period of exposure to noisy environments.
• Small openings or air leaks in the seal between
the hearing protector and the skin can create gaps
which allow sound to enter, reducing attenuation
by a significant amount. This can be caused by:
- Constant movement of the head or body.
- Long hair and facial hair.
- The fitting of 'hygiene covers' to the cushions.
• Where communication is critical and hearing
protection is required, attenuation communication
headsets can be considered.
• Earmuffs should be kept clean and replaced when
factors as to preclude their function as protective
earmuffs are present.
• MARK: The appropriate marking can be found on
the ear-cups of each model.
• The earmuffs must be transported in dry
packaging.
• Product must be cleaned or disinfected with a
product like soapy water, optical cleaning solution,
or a solution very low in alcohol. It is necessary to
disinfect every 3 months depending on use. Any
part of the protector in contact with the skin must
be regularly disinfected with alcohol.
• Throw away the earmuffs within 5 years from the
date of manufacturer, or if damaged or cannot be
cleaned.
• These ear-muffs are of large size range. Ear-muffs
complying with EN 352-1 are of medium size range
or small size range or large size range. Medium
size range ear-muffs will fit the majority of wearers.
Small size range or large size range ear-muffs are
designed to fit wearers for whom medium size
range ear-muffs are not suitable.
• The ear-muffs must be fitted, adjusted, and
maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
• This product may be adversely affected by certain
chemical substances. Further information should
be sought from the manufacturer.
• Ear-muffs, and in particular cushions, may
deteriorate with use and should be examined at
frequent intervals for cracking and leakage, for
example.
• The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may
affect the acoustic performance of the ear-muffs.
Operation
Always wear earmuffs before exposure to potentially harmful noise. Wear at all times during
exposure.
Ear cushions and foam pads may deteriorate with use and should be examined for cracks, tears
etc. Do not use if damaged.
Earmuff should fit snugly over the entire ear and but should not be so tight as to cause
discomfort.
• Pull the cups outward and position the earmuffs over the ears so that they completely cover each ear.
• Adjust the ear cups until they feel comfortable and adjust the headband up or down so the headband rests
on top of the head to support the muffs.
Care and Cleaning
• Clean the exterior of the product regularly with soapy water.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Never use aggressive detergents or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the casing or even
impair the functioning of the product.
• Allow the product to dry thoroughly before using it again.
• The earmuffs must be disinfected every 3 months by using alcohol to disinfect all components that come
into contact with the user.
• Store the earmuffs in a clean and dry plastic container (bag or box) when you are not using them.
Disposal
The product must not be disposed of with the household waste. At the end of its service life,
dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations. You thus fulfill your
statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
