G Operating instruction
Thank you for choosing a Hama product.
Take your time and read the following instructions and
information completely. Please keep these instructions in a
safe place for future reference. If you sell the device, please
pass these operating instructions on to the new owner.

• The product is intended for private, non-commercial
use only.
• The product is intended for indoor use only.
• Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the
reach of children!
• Connect the product only to a socket that has been
approved for the device. The electrical socket must
always be easily accessible.
• Disconnect the product from the network using the
power button – if this is not available, unplug the
power cord from the socket.
• Do not use the product if the AC adapter, adapter
cable or power cable is damaged.
• Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself.
Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
• Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it
becomes damaged.
3. Functions
The RF modulator allows you to convert audio and video
signals into high-frequency antenna signals.

4. Connection options

4.1 Connection via scart cable
• Connect the modulator to the intended signal source
with a scart cable (e.g. DVD player, SAT receiver...).
• Connect the antenna connection cable to the TV/
VCR socket and connect the other end of the cable to
your TV/VCR.
4.2 Connection via RCA cables
• Connect the modulator to the intended signal source
with a three-way RCA cable (e.g. DVD player, SAT
receiver). Check the colour markings on the connection
socket and plug when connecting.
• Connect the antenna connection cable to the TV/
VCR socket and connect the other end of the cable to
your TV/VCR.

4.3 Connection via antenna cables
• Connect your terrestrial antenna or every other device
with an RF connection with the RF modulator to the
aerial socket (RF input socket ).
• Connect the antenna connection cable to the TV/
VCR socket and connect the other end of the cable to
your TV/VCR.
Note
Two devices can be connected to the RCA and scart
terminal at the same time, but only one device (either
to the RCA or scart connection) can be active.

5. Getting started

• Ensure that all input and output devices are correctly
connected.
• Connect the RF modulator to the enclosed power supply.
• Switch on the RF modulator with the ON/OFF switch.
The red LED illuminates during operation.
• Switch on a connected device (e.g. DVD Player;
surveillance camera; SAT receiver).
• Set your TV to channel 36.
(This is the standard specified channel)
• Now you should see the playback of your input signal
on your TV.
6. RF modulator settings
6.1 Default channel display
If you changed the standard channel accidentally or
deliberately, you can view the current set channel as
described below:
• Switch the RF modulator off
• Press the CH h button and switch on the device
• The set channel will be displayed by the blinking
signal LED.
• Example: Channel 36: 3x flashes, short pause,
6x flashes
Channel 42: 4x flashes, short pause, 2x flashes
Note
The channel display can be turned off only by
switching the RF modulator off (ON/OFF switch).
