Toasting (one side)
For bagels, English muffins or anything you want toasted only on one side.
1. Place up to 4 slices of bagels, English muffins etc. into the bread slots so
that the sides to be toasted are facing the inside of the toaster. Only the
inside elements will light up.
2. Select the level of browning with the Browning Control.
3. Push the Carriage Control Lever down until it locks.
4. Press the Bagel Button and the Bagel Light will come on.
5. The red Cancel Light will also come on indicating that the toaster
is in the bagel cycle.
6. When the cycle is complete, the Carriage Control Lever will raise
automatically. If you wish to raise the Carriage Control Lever before
the end of the toasting cycle, press the Cancel Button.
7. Once the heating elements have shut off, the Carriage Control Lever can
be lifted up manually for extra lift. Small pieces of bread can then be
safely removed.
Defrosting
1. Insert slices of frozen bread, waffles, bagels, etc.
2. Select the level of browning with the Browning Control
Light setting ( 1 or 2 ):
Medium setting ( 3 ):
Dark setting ( 4 or 5 ):
3. If you want bread to be toasted on both sides, press the Carriage Control
Lever down until it locks then press the Defrost Button. The Defrost Light
will come on.
4. If you want bagels or English muffins to be toasted only on one side,
press the Carriage Control Lever down until it locks, then press the
Defrost and Bagel Buttons. Both lights will come on.
for refrigerated breads and thinner frozen
items such as frozen pancakes
for pastries, frozen waffles, thin French toast
and refrigerated bagels
for thicker frozen items such as bagels and
hand cut bread.
