Once you have selected an

acceptable seating location, place
the car seat so that it is facing

the rear of the vehicle. Make
sure the handle is in the car seat
position (page 41, steps 1 and 2).
2 Fit the vehicle belt through

the belt path slots in the top
sides of the car seat.
Exposure to the Sun:
and plastic parts of the car seat may
become very hot when exposed to the
sun. When not in use, cover the car
seat with a blanket if it will be
exposed to the sun for prolonged
periods of time.
Before placing your child in the car
seat, remove the blanket and check to
be sure the metal and plastic parts
are not too hot.
