7. MAINTENANCE

7.1. INTRODUCTION
A correct use of the sprayer and a regular maintenance are necessary to keep the sprayer in the best working, efficacy and
safety conditions.
Use exclusively original spare-parts
7.2. BATTERY RECHARGE
The sprayer is fed by a hermetic storage battery, rechargeable with the battery charger supplied with the sprayer.
A fuse (10/16) protects the electric motor from eventual overloads and the battery from eventual short-circuits.
In order to handle the battery in a safe way it is necessary to follow the below listed warnings:
In case of direct contact with the internal parts of the battery rinse immediately with water and call the doctor in case of
direct contact with eyes.
Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced.
Do not expose the battery to high temperatures, wet conditions or liquids.
Do not expose the battery to flames: it could explode.
Do not short circuit.
Do not try to disassemble/reassemble the battery.
Keep the battery in cold and dry place/conditions.
Use only the original battery charger.
Replace the battery only with the same or similar type, recommended by the manufacturer.
Dispose used batteries according to the instructions of the manufacturer.
Recharge the battery at least every four months if not used for a long time.
WARNING: During the recharge operations, follow safe working procedures and carefully observe the general safety rules.
In order to recharge the battery, follow these instructions:
Turn off the general switch (0-1)
Check that the network voltage corresponds to the indication printed on the battery charger plate.
Connect the battery charger to a suitable and electrically protected current-tap.
Insert the battery-charge plug in its specific socket (98/13) on the side of the machine base.
The red light on the battery charger means that the battery is charging.
The green light on the battery charger means that the battery is charged.
The complete battery recharge takes 7,5 hours.
At the end of the re-charge it is recommended to disconnect the battery charger from the power network first and then
from the socket on the side of the machine base;
During long periods of inactivity it is recommended to verify that the general switch is off.
The battery life time mostly depends on the observance of some important rules:
Do not create a short-circuit.
Promptly recharge it with the general on/off switch turned off and respecting the necessary time of charging.
For the recharge exclusively use the battery charger supplied with the sprayer.
Do not turn the sprayer on when the battery charger is connected.
After the complete recharge keep the battery between 5 and 40° C.
In case of long stocking or non-use, recharge the battery every four months.
When the battery is no longer rechargeable it is necessary to replace it with another one with the same sizes and features,
respecting the connection polarities; the old battery shall be taken to an authorized collecting point
