REmOvING / CHANGING THE SAW

1. Disconnect tool from air supply.
2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to
loosen cover screw (Figure 2).

3. Use a 4 mm hex wrench to loosen set
screws which secure sawblade in tool
(Figures 3 and 4).

4. Carefully pull blade out of saw body
as shown in Figure 5.

5. To install new blade, insert blade in
slot, tighten set screws on each side
of blade guides, and screw cover
onto tool.
AIR HOSE
It is not recommended to install a quick
coupler between the tool and the
leader (whip) hose.
Using fittings or air hoses which are too
small can create a pressure drop and
reduce the power of the tool. For model
PL1640, using 3/8 inch fittings with
1/4 inch NPT threads is recommended.
For proper performance and more
convenience, use a 3/8 inch I.D. hose.
Hoses longer than 50 feet should have a
1/2 inch I.D.
pull the hose to move the tool or a
compressor. Keep hoses away from
heat, oil and sharp edges. Replace any
hose that is damaged, weak or worn.

STORAGE
The saw must be lubricated before
storing. Remove saw blade. Follow
steps 1 - 4 of the Lubrication section in
the Operation Instructions (make sure
to follow all safety guidelines in that
section). Run the saw for a few seconds
because more oil needs to remain in the
saw when storing.

Only qualified personnel should repair
the tool and they should use genuine
