PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG
Lieferumfang: 2 x StartProtect, 2 x 2 Gummidichtungen, 2 x 4 Schrauben, Bedienungsanleitung.
Beim Starthilfevorgang entstehen Spannungsspitzen. Diese können die Bordelektronik beschädigen. Mit dem
StartProtect werden diese Spannungsspitzen begrenzt. Dadurch wird die Bordelektronik der beiden beteiligten
Fahrzeuge geschützt. Eine Kontroll-LED leuchtet, wenn Spannung am StartProtect anliegt.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Mit dem StartProtect können Starthilfekabel nachgerüstet werden, um Spannungsspitzen zu begrenzen. Mon-
tieren Sie das Produkt entsprechend dieser Bedienungsanleitung. Beachten Sie dabei, dass das Starthilfekabel
zur Größe des StartProtect passt (siehe „Technische Daten").
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Warnung! Lebens- und Unfallgefahr für Kinder!
Kinder können die Gefahren, die durch das Produkt entstehen, nicht erkennen. Lassen Sie Kinder nicht
mit dem Verpackungsmaterial und dem Produkt spielen.
■
Beachten Sie zur Starthilfe die Bedienungsanleitungen der Fahrzeuge und der Starthilfekabel.
■
Verletzungsgefahr! Die Kontaktspitzen können zu Stich- und Schnittverletzungen führen. Stecken Sie keinen
Finger zwischen die Gehäuse und drücken Sie nicht auf die Kontaktspitzen.
■
Das Gehäuse darf nach erfolgter Montage nicht wieder vom Starthilfekabel entfernt werden, da die
Kabelisolation an der Montagestelle beschädigt wird.
■
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Gehäuse nicht im montierten Zustand in Flüssigkeit getaucht oder Feuchtigkeit
ausgesetzt werden dürfen (Kurzschlussgefahr!).
■
Eine unsachgemäße Verwendung kann zur Beschädigung des Produkts oder zu Gefährdungen für Sachen
und Personen führen.
■
Verletzungsgefahr! Ein beschädigtes Produkt kann zu Verletzungen führen. Verwenden Sie ein beschädig-
tes Produkt nicht mehr.
MONTAGE
Warnung! Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Starthilfekabel während der Montage nicht an die Batterie
angeschlossen ist.
Achtung! Nach dem Verschließen kann der StartProtect nicht mehr geöffnet werden.
1. Nehmen Sie den Gehäusedeckel an einem StartProtect ab.
2. Legen Sie die Gummidichtungen in die vorgesehenen Aussparungen, klappen Sie die Gummidichtungen
hoch und drücken Sie das rote Starthilfekabel ca. 30 cm von der Polzange entfernt in die Aussparung mit
der Kontaktspitze, in der das rote Kabel des StartProtect verläuft.
3. Drücken Sie das schwarze Starthilfekabel in gleicher Weise in die andere Aussparung des StartProtect.
4. Schrauben Sie den Gehäusedeckel mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben auf die Unterseite des Gehäuses.
5. Montieren Sie das zweite StartProtect (nach den Schritten 1 - 4) am anderen Ende des Starthilfekabels.
Sie können das Starthilfekabel nun wie gewohnt nutzen.

stelle oder qualifiziertes Fachpersonal.

fehlerhaftes Produkt zur Verkaufsstelle zurück.

Papier). Entsorgen Sie ein nicht mehr verwendbares Produkt umweltgerecht entsprechend den örtlich

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Contents: 2 x StartProtect, 2 x 2 rubber seals, 2 x 4 screws, instructions for use.
Voltage spikes occur when jump starting.They can damage the vehicle electronics.StartProtect reduces these
voltage spikes.This protects the electronic systems of the two coupled vehicles.A signal LED is illuminated when
voltage is applied to the StartProtect.
Intended Use
StartProtect allows jump cables to be converted in order to reduce voltage spikes.Mount the product according
to these instructions.Make sure that the jump start cable fits the size of the StartProtect (see "Technical data").

Follow the vehicle's and jump cable instructions when jump starting.

Risk of injury!The contact spikes can cause stab or cutting injuries.Do not put fingers between the housings
and do not press down on the contact spikes.

After being mounted the housing may not be removed from the jump start cable, because the cable insula-
tion at the mounting point will be damaged.

Make sure that the housing is not immersed in liquid or exposed to damp after mounting (short circuit
risk!).

Improper use can lead to damage to the product or a risk to property or people.

Risk of injury!A damaged product can lead to injury.Do not continue to use a damaged product.
ASSEMBLY
Warning!Make sure that the jump start cable is not connected to the battery during mounting.
Warning!After locking, StartProtect can no longer be opened.
1. Remove the housing lid from a StartProtect.
2. Place the rubber seals in the openings, fold the rubber seals up and press the red jump start cable about
30 cm from the terminal clamp in the opening with the contact spikes, into which the red cable of the
StartProtect runs.
3. Press the black jump cable in the same way in the other opening on StartProtect.
4. Mount the housing lid with the supplied bolts on the underside of the housing.
5. Mount the second StartProtect (after steps to 1 - 4) on the other end of the jump start cable.
You may now use the jump start cable as normal.

In the event of damage, repairs or other problems regarding the product please contact the point of sale or
qualified personnel.
The general warranty terms apply to defects in manufacturing and material.
Please return the defective product to your retailer. To process your claim efficiently you will also need: for
quick processing of your claim we also need:

Disposal
Do not dispose of packaging or the product through your household waste! The product and
packaging are made from recyclable materials (plastics, metals, paper). If the product is no longer
suitable for use dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner in accordance with your local

DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
Volume de livraison : 2 x StartProtect, 2 x 2 joints en caoutchouc, 2 x 4 vis, mode d'emploi.
Des pics de tension peuvent apparaître lors du processus d'aide au démarrage. Ils pourraient endommager
le système électronique. Ces pics de tension peuvent être limités par StartProtect. Le système électronique des
deux véhicules concernés est ainsi protégé. Une DEL de contrôle s'allume lorsque StartProtect est sous tension.
Utilisation conforme
Les câbles d'aide au démarrage peuvent être équipés avec StartProtect pour limiter les pics de tension. Montez
le produit selon ce mode d'emploi. Faites alors en sorte que le câble d'aide de départ soit approprié à la taille
du système StartProtect (voir „données techniques").
INDICATIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
Avertissement ! Enfants : risque d'accident et risque pour la vie ! Les enfants ne peuvent pas
reconnaître les dangers présentés par le produit ! Ne laissez pas les enfants jouer avec l'emballage
et le produit.

Respectez les modes d'emploi des véhicules et des câbles d'aide au démarrage pour l'aide au démarrage.
■
Risque de blessures ! Les extrémités de contact peuvent générer des blessures de piqûre et de coupure. Ne
laissez pas un doigt entre les boîtiers et n'appuyez pas sur les extrémités de contact.
■
Le boîtier ne doit pas être débranché du câble d'aide au démarrage après montage car cela endomma-
gerait l'isolation du câble.
■
Veillez à ce que le boîtier une fois monté ne soit pas mis dans un liquide ou qu'il soit exposé à une atmos-
phère humide (danger de court-circuit) !
■
Une utilisation inappropriée peut entraîner un endommagement du produit ou des risques pour les choses
et les personnes.
■
Risque de blessures ! Un produit endommagé peut provoquer des blessures. N'utilisez plus un produit
endommagé.
MONTAGE
Mise en garde ! Assurez-vous que le câble d'aide au démarrage n'est pas connecté à la batterie
pendant le montage.
Attention ! Après verrouillage du StartProtect, il ne peut plus être ouvert.
1. Ôtez le couvercle du boîtier d'un StartProtect.
2. Placez les joints en caoutchouc dans les niches prévues à cet effet, relevez les joints en caoutchouc et
enfoncez le câble d'aide au démarrage à environ 30 cm de la borne de raccord dans la niche avec
l'extrémité de contact dans laquelle passe le câble rouge du StartProtect.
3. Enfoncez le câble d'aide au démarrage noir de la même manière dans l'autre niche du StartProtect.
4. A l'aide des vis livrées, vissez le couvercle du boîtier sur la partie inférieure du boîtier.
5. Montez le deuxième StartProtect (selon les étapes 1 à 4) à l'autre extrémité du câble d'aide au démar-
rage.
Vous pouvez à présent utiliser le câble d'aide au démarrage comme à l'habitude.
