7. B e sure burner knobs are in "off" position. S ecure gas connection and turn on
gas supply. C heck all connections for leaks using soapy-w ater solution or a non-
corrosive leak detection solution. D o not use a soapy-w ater solution containing
am m onia.
C A U TIO N : G as supply tubing w ithin the c onfines of the appliance
connection shall be rigid or sem i-rigid m etallic tubing.
W A R N IN G : N ever c h ec k for leaks w ith an open flam e or any ignition
source for this purpose.
W A R N IN G ! If the user of this appliance fails to m aintain it in the condition
in w hich it w as shipped from the fac to ry o r if the appliance is not used
so lely for its intended purpose or if appliance is not m aintained in
acco rdance w ith the instructions in this m anu al, then the risk of a fire
and/or the production of carbon m onoxide exists w hich can cause
personal injury, property dam age or loss of life.
Listed below are som e very im portant facts that you should follow . They are listed
for your protection and safety.
1. N ever attem pt to repair the appliance yourself. Any repairs to or installation of
this appliance m ust b e pe rform ed by a qualified installer, service agency or the
gas supplier and in accordance w ith the instructions in this m anual. Service of
your appliance by a non-approved service person or agency could result in failure
of the integrity of the appliance and could lead to property dam age, serious injury
or loss of life.
2. H ave your dealer show you w here the m ain gas shut-off valve is located and
how to shut it off in an em ergency.
3. U se your range/cooktop only for its intended use.
W A R N IN G ! N ever use this appliance as a space heater to heat or w arm the
room . Doing so m ay result in carbon m onoxide poisoning and overheating
of the oven.
4. If the range/cooktop is near a w indow , proper precautions should be taken to
prevent curtains from blow ing over burners creating a fire hazard.
5. K eep the area around the cooktop clean and c le a r o f any com bustible
m aterials, gasoline or other flam m able vapors and liquids. N ot doing so can cause
an explosion and/or fire.
6. D o not leave children alone o r u n su p ervised in area w here range/cooktop is
being used. The top burners, burner grates and other areas near the burners
becom e hot enough to cause severe burns.
7. C hildren should be taught that the range/cooktop is not a toy. They should not
be allow ed to play w ith the controls or any other parts of the appliance . D o no t
allow anyone to stand or sit on top of the range. N ot only can this dam age the
range, but personal injuries could result.

injured.
9. D o not w ear loose fitting clothing or long-hanging sleeved clothing w hile using
the appliance. If they contact the open flam e of the burner, they could ignite and
cause severe burns.
10. U se only dry potholders to rem ove hot utensils. U sing dam p potholders on
hot surfaces could result in burns to hands. D o not use a tow el or bulky cloth for
a pot holder. The cloth could contact open flam e and catch fire.
11. N ever heat an unopened container. Pressure build-up w ithin the container
can cause it to explode.

1. K now w hich knob controls w hich burner. A lw ays be sure the correct burner is
turned on.
2. Depress knob and turn fully counter-clockwise
a.
V erify sufficient gas supply before attem pting to light the burner. A ir in the
gas line w ill significantly delay burner ignition. The burner m ay light
unexpectedly as the air in the line clears and is replaced by LP gas. This
unexpected ignition could burn you. Air in the gas lines m ay occur after the
v e hic le gas bottle and/or tank is refilled, during and after servicing oth e r
appliances on sam e gas line, etc.
b.
D o not attem pt to light m ore than one burner at a tim e.
c.
Im m ediately light burner on those m odels ending w ith "M " (exam ple:
S R N A 3LW B M ; S R S A 3S W B M ) hold a long m atch near the burner ports.
C A U TIO N : H and held ignitors m ay be used but be sure they are the
type designed for lighting open flam e burners.
If your m odel ends w ith "E " (exam ple: SR N A 3LW B E / SR S A 3S W B E ), the
burner can be lit by rotating piezo knob clockw ise
produces a spark at the burner w hich ignites the gas.
N O TE : The appliance m ust be disconnected from the gas supply piping system
during any pressure testing of that system at test pressure in access of 1/2 P S IG .
The appliance m ust be isolated from the gas supply piping during any pressure
te s tin g of the gas supply piping system at test pressure equal to, or less th a n,
1/2 PS IG .
8. R eplace m ain top.
9. Y our unit is now ready for opera tio n. Before operating, read the safety
inform ation and operating instructions contained in the m anual.

SAFETY INFORMATION

12. K eep appliance clean. The build-up of grease and food boil-over and/or
spillage can create a fire hazard.
13. A void using your range/cooktop or any other appliance if you sm ell gas. D o
not assum e that the sm ell of gas in yo ur R V is norm al. Any tim e you detect the
odor of gas, it is to be considered life threatening and corrected im m ediately.
E xtinguish any open flam es including cigarettes and evacuate all persons from the
vehicle. Shut off gas supply at LP gas bottle. (S ee safety notice on front cover of
this m anual.)
14. Turn pan handles inw ard or tow ard back of coo ktop a nd out of the w ay of
people w a lking past cooktop and/or out of the reach of children. D o not turn
handles to w here they are over the burners.
15. D o not use w ater on grease fires. N ever pick-up a fla m ing pan. Sm other a
flam ing pan w ith a lid or flat pan. Flam ing grease outside the pan can be
extinguished w ith baking soda or a m ultipurpose dry chem ical fire extinguisher.
16. D o not use the oven as a storage area.
17. D o not co ve r the oven vent openings w henever oven is being used. See
Figure 4. Covering the ve nts restricts the flow of com bustion air to the oven
burner and could cause poor com bustion and the form ation of carbon m onoxide.
W A R N IN G ! N E V E R cover any slots, holes or passages in the oven bottom
or cover an entire rac k w ith m aterials such as alum inum foil. Doing so
blocks airflow through the oven and m ay cause carbon m onoxide poiso ning.
A lum inum foil linings m ay also trap heat, causing a fire hazard.
18. N ever leave top burner(s) unattended.

20. To prevent dam age to the cook top, top burners, or top grate, never operate
a top burne r w itho ut a pan in place. The top burners, especially the high input
burner, should not be operated on high for an extended period of tim e. The high
setting should be used only to start the food cooking or to bring liquids to a boil,
then reduce the flam e to a low er setting to continue cooking. U se the low flam e
setting to keep food w arm . R em em ber, a gas range heats quicker than an electric
range; therefore, exp e rim e nt w ith various settings until you feel com fortable
cooking w ith gas.
N ever use cookw are which extends beyond one inch of the grate (m axim um pan
size 10" diam eter). N ever place cooking utensil on grate to w here it rests over tw o
operating top burners. This w ill ca u se e xc e s sive heat buildup, w hich results in
dam age to the grate, top burner(s) and cook top.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
3. If any burner should extinguish after initial lighting or due to accidental blow -out,
turn gas off by turning control knob clockw ise
before attem pting to relight the burner. Failure to follow these instructions could

For such reasons as dow n drafts that could be created by opening and
closing of cabinet doors or doors w ithin the R V or by positive or negative
air pressures affecting burners due to im proper installation. (S ee

g as escaping into the R V . R em em ber, gas flow to each b u rn e r is
controlled m anually, you m ust turn gas flow "O N " and "O FF".
A boil over could occur and the spill could ignite.
N ever extend the flam e beyond the ou ter edge of the utensil. A higher
flam e sim ply w astes heat and energy.
C orrect flam e size is determ ined by utensil size and m aterial, w hat you
