concrete, the tool may react dangerously. Make sure
you keep your balance by distributing your weight

holding the tool firmly in both hands to avoid dangerous

- If the appliance works continuously at low speed,
working life of the appliance will be reduced
considerably.
Once you have finished using the appliance:
- Stop the appliance by releasing the on/off switch (H).
- Clean the appliance.
Maintenance and care
WARNING! Always unplug the machine before
carrying out work on it.
- Inspect the mounting screws: regularly inspect
all the mounting screws and ensure they are firmly
tightened. Should any screw be loose, tighten it
immediately. Failure to do so could put you at serious
risk.
- Motor maintenance: always take the greatest care
over this and make sure that the motor winding is not
damaged and does not become wet with oil or water.
- The vents should always be kept clean and free of
obstacles.
- Clean the machine thoroughly after each use. Blast
the motor regularly with compressed air.
- Check that the mains lead is in good condition. If it
is not, take it to an Official Service Centre to have it
replaced.
Replace the grease (CCH32VCEK and CCH48VCEK):
Special grease is used with this machine; therefore,
the normal performance of the machine may be badly
affected by use of other grease. Please be sure to
let one of our service agents undertake replacement
of the grease. In case that you replace the grease by
yourself:
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Remove the oil tank cover (I) and wipe off the grease
inside.
- Supply 30g of Electric Hammer Grease (Standard
8
accessory, contained in tube) to the crank case.
- After replenishing the grease, install the oil tank cover
(I) securely.
Replace the carbon brush :
When the carbon brushes are worn out, the power tool
switches itself off. With the models CCH32VCEK and
CCH48VCEK a red indicator light (J) of carbon brush
will turn on. The power tool must then be sent to an
after-sales service agent.
In case that you replace the carbon brush by yourself:
- Unplug the appliance from the mains.
- Loosen the four set screws and remove the fan
cover.
- Remove the brush caps and carbon brushes.
- After replacing the carbon brushes, tighten the
brush caps securely and install the fan cover with
securely tightening two set screws.
