g) MODE button
• Push the MODE button (34) to toggle between the following modes NORMAL →
NATURAL → SLEEP.
NORMAL: Normal fan action
NATURAL: Simulates natural wind conditions. The fan varies the speed automatically
to simulate natural wind conditions.
SLEEP: The fan decreases the speed slowly and turns off finally. This prevents the
user from being exposed to too much wind and catching a cold while asleep.
h) Ion function
• Use the -ION button (37) to activate the ion function The green indicator light on the
-ION button lights up when the ion function is activated. This function can only be
turned on directly on the fan.
• You can activate the ion function while the fan is on and off.
• Push the -ION button again to turn off the ion function.
i) Fragrance distribution
• You can insert a fragranced wool fiber pad (2) or the like into the fragrance
chamber (3) to spread a pleasant aroma via the fan's air circulation.
• Turn the fragrance chamber cover (1) counter clockwise to remove it.
• Insert a moistened wool fiber pad into the fragrance chamber. Replace the cover
and turn it clockwise to close. Make sure that the fragranced wool fiber pad is damp
with fragrance only and does not drip.
Caution! Liquids in combination with electrical devices can result in
hazardous situations such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, injury and
product damages.
j) Touch-sensitive safety switch
When human skin comes in contact with the protective grid, the safety switch gets
activated and the fan stops.
The fan will start approx. 5 to 10 seconds after the human skin has been removed from
the grid.
The function is affected by isolation properties of certain materials, such as
wood. It is possible that the turn-off function of the fan does not get activated
in the event of certain shoes or wood parquet flooring.

Maintenance and cleaning

a) General
• Switch off the product and disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket before
cleaning.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners.
• Frequently wipe the components of the fan including the protective grilles and stand
with a dry dust rag.
• When not using the product for a longer period of time, cover it and store it at a dry
location protected from direct sunlight.
b) Cleaning the fan blade and protective grilles
Risk of injury! The fan blade edges are very sharp.
• If the fan blade is heavily stained by dust, you may disassemble the product following
the instructions in chapter "Installation" in reverse order.
• You can wipe down the front and rear protective grille and the rotor blade with a
slightly damp cloth.
• Thoroughly dry all components after cleaning and before reinstalling.
• Assemble the product as described in chapter "Installation".
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them
separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations
for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead
(name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
