TROUBLESHOOTING

Faults table

Below is a list of some of the possible malfunctions. If the problem cannot be resolved as described, contact
Customer Services.
FAULT
Coffee is not hot.
The coffee is not creamy
enough.
The coffee is delivered too
slowly or a drop at a time.
FMY 45 CM XS
MEANING
The inside of the machine is very
dirty.
The water softener filter (A9)
must be replaced
CAUSE
The cups were not preheated.
The brewing unit has cooled
down because 2/3 minutes have
elapsed since the last coffee was
made.
The temperature set is too low.
The coffee is ground too
coarsely.
Wrong type of coffee
The coffee is ground too finely.

WHAT TO DO
Carefully clean the inside of the machine
(see "Cleaning the coffee machine"). If the
coffee machine still shows this message
once it has been cleaned, please consult
customer services.
You must immediately replace the filter
following the instructions in the section
"Replacing the filter".

SOLUTION
Warm the cups by rinsing them with hot
water.
Before making coffee, preheat the
brewing unit by pressing the

Change the set temperature
(see paragraph "Changing coffee
temperature").
Turn the grinding adjustment knob one
click anticlockwise towards "1" while the
coffee mill is in operation (Fig. 21).

Use a type of coffee for espresso coffee
makers.
Turn the grinding adjustment knob one
click clockwise towards "7" while the
coffee mill is in operation (Fig. 21).
Continue one click at a time until coffee
delivery is satisfactory. The effect is only
visible after delivering two coffees.
