HOW TO USE

1. Make sure the switch is power off and the Temperature Control Knob is turned to the Min. level before the
power is connected.
2. Pull out the Cover, Carrier Ring and Bain-marie, then fill the water to reach the water level in the Water
Jacket.
3. When the level of the soup is low, care should be taken when refilling or topping it up. Ideally remove the
partially filled bain marie pot and top it up in a kitchen environment. Alternatively have a spare pot ready to
swap over with fresh soup in it. When topping up, stir the soup well to ensure an even heat distribution.
Care should always be taken when carrying hot liquids.
4. Turn on the switch, twist the Knob clockwise till the Light is on. When the Knob is turned to Max. level,
the water temperature in the Soup Warmer will reach 85°C ±5°C. When the temperature of water reaches
the highest, the thermostat will be cut off and the Soup Warmer stops working. When the temperature of
water drops to approx.60°C or 70°C (depending on the model), the Soup Warmer will start heating.
5. For faster action, hot water may be used. If a lower temperature is required, turn the setting down.
For safety reason, when the heating element is over-heated, the safety thermostat will be cut off. For model
861070, the Boil-dry Light (red color), on the right, will light on when no water left in the Water Jacket and
Safety Thermostat will be cut off at the same time, then need to fill water to the Water Jacket.
6. Place the Cover on the Bain-marie for serving.
HOW TO CLEAN/MAINTAIN
1. With warm water and mild detergent, clean the Cover, Bain-marie and Soup Ladle.
2. For Carrie Ring and PP Water Jacket, wipe over with a damp cloth using a mild detergent .
3. Stainless steel Bain-marie and Cover are dishwasher safe.
4. Heating element (for model 861070) stuck with dirt will cause malfunction of the Water Jacket. To maintain
an effective performance of the Water Jacket, the heating element should be cleaned at least once in two
months. Fill up the Water Jacket above the heating element with half/half distilled white vinegar
(or citric acid) and hot water. Let the heating element soap for 1 or 2 hours, then wipe off the dirt with a
clean cloth. After cleaning, rinse the Water Jacket with clean water (please make sure the water doesn't
splash into the socket).
Attention: Do not disassemble Water Jacket and bottom plate of the appliance for cleaning.
