chargers with KNAACK® PowerCrew™:
• See charger's Owner's Manual for proper use and care of charger and batteries. Follow all instructions and warnings
provided with your battery charger.
• Place chargers in tray. Do not place electrical equipment in bottom of chest where water may accumulate.
• Chargers are dry location use only. Do not expose to liquid, vapor, or rain. Should your charger become wet, DO
NOT attempt to use. Unplug the charger's power cord from the KNAACK PowerCrew before handling.
• Only use batteries and chargers that are intact and operating properly.
• Do not touch metal prongs when plugging charger into KNAACK PowerCrew.
• Keep flammable materials like paper or rags away from charger, cords, or connections.
• DO NOT place or attempt to charge lead acid, car type, batteries in jobsite storage box.
• DO NOT allow battery or charger terminals to contact metal; high currents will flow creating the risk of fire or
explosion.
• DO NOT place charger in jobsite storage box if daytime temperature will exceed 120F; locate storage container out
of direct sunlight.
• Secure chargers and batteries to prevent movement when transporting the jobsite storage box.
KNAACK PowerCrew can be used with any generation of KNAACK Jobsite Storage Equipment as well as metal
storage equipment of other manufacturers. Some KNAACK Jobsite Storage Equipment manufactured after 2007
have the 3" knock-out feature in the wall to accept KNAACK PowerCrew, while other models require punching and/
or drilling mounting holes to accommodate the accessory.
1. If your jobsite storage box comes equipped with a 3" knock-out (and it is in the desired location for your
application), follow steps A through D to prep your box for mounting KNAACK PowerCrew; otherwise
proceed to step #2.
A. Using a hammer, strike the "knock-out" feature near the edge until it breaks free of the sheet metal wall. Twist
off the metal disc and ensure all sharp edges are removed from the remaining hole.
B. From the outside of the box, center the supplied template around the 3" diameter hole and tape it in place
(making sure the template is approximately level).
C. With a center punch, mark the center of the 7/32" diameter hole from the template onto the box and then
remove the template.
D. Drill the 7/32" hole.
2. If your jobsite storage box does not already have a 3" knock-out or it is not in the desired location for your applica-
tion, follow steps A through F to prep your box for mounting KNAACK PowerCrew.
A. From the outside of the box, tape the supplied template in the desired location. Note: Check inside opposite
the template to ensure there are no obstructions present where KNAACK PowerCrew will be mounted.
B. With a center punch, mark the center of the 7/32" diameter hole and 3" diameter hole from the template onto
the box then remove template.
C. Drill out the 7/32" hole.
D. Punch or drill 3" diameter hole per instructions from the hole saw or punch.
E. Check with template that 7/32" hole is correctly placed.
F. Remove all sharp edges and make sure panel around 3" diameter hole is flat.
Keep debris out of your eyes when drilling. Always wear protective eye wear. To avoid electrocution, install ground wire.
