ARCHED LED POST WITH MOTION DETECTOR
Read the complete manual before carrying out the installation and activating the system. Keep
the manual for future reference.
1. DESCRIPTION
This is an adaptable and energy-efficient LED post with a stylish design. This LED post is ideally suited to use
outdoors in the garden, on the driveway or to light up the path to your home. With its homogeneous lighting
effect, the post ensures superior lighting in all conditions. As the post is equipped with a built-in PIR sensor, it
only switches on when necessary.
As soon as someone is detected, the light is switched on daylight-dependent. The light only switches on once
the set daylight condition (twilight level) is no longer reached and remains active as long as human movement
is detected.
This manual applies to the following lamp types:
352-02830
colour
light grey
These posts are also available without the built-in PIR sensor (see reference numbers 352-0899x) including
a shorter format.
2. USE
These LED posts are suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. Attach the post to suitable flat ground using
the fittings supplied.
Be aware of the following during installation (see fig. 1):
• The motion sensor is most sensitive to movements passing through the detection area. The sensitivity to
movements directly towards the sensor is about 50% less.
• As the motion sensor reacts to the temperature difference between heat sources and the ambient temperature,
the detection range changes according to the circumstances of the mounting position.
• The detection range can be reduced by masking the lens.
• Keep a safe 1 metre distance from posts mounted at the same height.
• Avoid heat and cold sources in the immediate detection range and directly below the posts.
The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable; when the light source reaches its end of life the whole
luminaire shall be replaced.
3. OPERATION
The LED post has a built-in passive infrared sensor (PIR) which responds to the displacement of heat caused
by persons and their movements. If the sensor detects movement, the lamp switches on automatically. Once
the set time (approx. 60 s to 6 min) after the final detection has lapsed, the lamp automatically switches off.
4. MOUNTING
1. Slide the white bar with the wiring clamps out of the post shaft (along the opening at the base).
2. Remove the 2 screws from the cable brace (see fig. 2).
3. Remove the 4 screws in the protective cover to loosen the cover plate (see fig. 2).
4. Place the power supply cable under the cable brace and insert it into the cable inlet in the protective cover
(see fig. 2).
5. Connect the wires as shown in the wiring diagram (see fig. 7 and also § 5).
6. Replace the cover plate on the protective cover and tighten the 5 screws (see fig. 3).
7. Ensure that the power supply cable is nice and straight and then fix the cable brace once again using the
2 screws (see fig. 3).
8. Slide the white bar with the wiring clamps back into the post shaft.
9. Mark the drill holes on the ground and drill the holes the same size as the plugs provided (see fig. 4).
10. Firmly press the plugs into the drill holes (see fig. 4).
11. Anchor the base firmly onto the ground using the screws supplied (see fig. 4).
12. Set the desired settings for the PIR sensor (see § 6).
5. WIRING
Connect the detector as shown in the wiring diagram in fig. 7.
Conductor
Neutral conductor
Earthing
Switched phase for continuous light mode with switch (bridging) or parallel connection
of a maximum of one extra LED post
The connected phase L' can be used for parallel connection of up to one similar additional load. It is recommended
to pass additional load through an external relay.
6. CONFIGURATION
Once connected to the power supply the lamp takes 1 minute to warm up (the light shines continuously).
After this warming up period, the lamp is ready for use. The PIR detector settings can be changed using the
potentiometers on the device. These are found under the cover just above the detector lens. Turn this by 90°
to reveal the potentiometers (see fig. 5).
6.1. Light sensitivity
Using the LUX potentiometer, you can set the threshold value of the twilight switch continuously between
(night mode, 5 lux) and ƒð (daytime mode, 2000 lux) (see fig. 5). The light is only switched on once the set
threshold value is reached.

6.2. Switch-off delay

Using the TIME potentiometer, the switch-off delay is set between 60 s to 6 min (see fig. 5).

7. TROUBLESHOOTING
Malfunction
Solution
The lamp does not switch on.
• The threshold value is set too low. Increase the threshold value.
• Check the lighting and the fuse.
