1)
Installation
1.1) Windscreen or dash mounting
Follow the steps shown on the figures (Fig 1 - 17)
1.2) Cable Connections
If you want to use AUX audio connection to your car, connect the
cables as shown on Fig 18/A
If you want to use FM audio connection to your car, connect the
cable as shown on Fig 18/B
If your car has an AUX input, it is suggested to use the AUX
connection.
1.3) Docking of iPhone
iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G can be used in the Car Dock without
any additional adapters. (Fig 19/A)
If you want to use an iPhone 4, please install the supplied self-
adhesive iPhone 4 adapters as shown on Fig 19/B.
1.4) Handsfree setup (pairing)
To use the handsfree functionality, it is necessary to pair your
iPhone with the Car Dock via Bluetooth:
a)
Enter the Bluetooth Settings menu of your iPhone
b)
Switch on the Bluetooth in the Bluetooth Settings menu of
your iPhone
c)
Dock your iPhone in the Car Dock
d)
'Car Dock for iPhone' will appear in the device list of the
Bluetooth Settings menu of your iPhone
e)
Connect to the 'Car Dock for iPhone' device
f)
Enter the Bluetooth PIN code of the Car Dock for iPhone:
8888
1.5) FM transmitter setup
If you want to use FM audio connection to your car, you will need an
installed 'Car Dock Mode' app on your iPhone, which is available to
download for free from the iTunes App Store.
•
Search for a free FM frequency on your car radio
•
Dock your iPhone in the Car Dock
•
Launch the 'Car Dock Mode' app
•
Enter the settings menu of the 'Car Dock Mode' app
•
Set the same FM frequency like you have set on your car
radio.
2)
Usage
2.1) Audio
If your iPhone is docked in the Car Dock, its audio output (music,
phone calls and app audio) is transmitted to the car. To hear it, you
need to select the appropriate audio source on your car radio (AUX,
if you use the AUX cable, or the appropriate FM frequency if you
use the FM transmitter)
2.2) Handsfree
To have the handsfree functionality, it is necessary to establish also
a Bluetooth connection between the iPhone and the Car Dock.
The iPhone will automatically connect to the Car Dock also
via Bluetooth whenever you dock it.* The Bluetooth will be
disconnected when you undock the iPhone.
* The Bluetooth connection requires:

Pairing before the first usage (see Section 1.4)

iPhone Bluetooth switched on
3)
'Car Dock Mode' App
The 'Car Dock Mode' app is free to download in the iTunes App
Store. It provides a driver-friendly user interface for the main
iPhone functions.

1)
Einbau
1.1) Windschutzscheibe oder Armaturenbrett
Folgen Sie bitte die auf den Bildern 1 - 17 gezeigten Schritte.
1.2) Kabelverbindungen
Wenn Sie AUX Audioverbindung zum Auto benutzen möchten,
folgen Sie bitte die Beschreibung auf dem Bild 18/A.
Wenn Sie FM Audioverbindung zum Auto benutzen möchten,
folgen Sie bitte die Beschreibung auf dem Bild 18/B.
Sofern Ihr Auto über einen AUX Eingang verfügt, wird die Nutzung
dieser Übertragungsmöglichkeit empfohlen.
1.3) Einsetzen des iPhone
iPhone 3GS und iPhone 3G können ohne zusätzliche Adapter im
Car Dock eingesetzt werden. (Bild 19/A)
Um ein iPhone 4 einsetzen zu können, installieren Sie die
beigefügten selbstklebenden Adapter, wie das Bild 19/B zeigt.
1.4) Einstellung der Freisprecheinrichtung (Koppeln)
Um die Freisprecheinrichtungsfunktion zu nutzen, muss das
iPhone mit dem Car Dock über Bluetooth gekoppelt werden:
a)
Öffnen Sie das Bluetooth Menü Ihres iPhone
b)
Schalten Sie das Bluetooth des iPhone ein
c)
Setzen Sie Ihr iPhone in den Car Dock ein
d)
'Car Dock for iPhone' wird in der Liste zu verbindenden
Geräte angezeigt
e)
Verbinden Sie das 'Car Dock for iPhone' durch drücken auf
den Eintrag
f)
Der Bluetooth PIN des Car Dock lautet: 8888
1.5) Einstellung des FM-Transmitters
Wenn Sie FM Audioverbindung zum Auto benutzen möchten, muss
die Car Dock Mode Applikation auf dem iPhone installiert sein. Die
Applikation ist gratis im iTunes App Store verfügbar.
•
Suchen Sie eine freie FM Radiofrequenz am Autoradio
•
Setzen Sie Ihr iPhone in den Car Dock ein
•
Starten Sie die Applikation 'Car Dock Mode'
•
Drücken Sie auf das Settings Menü der 'Car Dock Mode'
Applikation.
•
Stellen Sie die gleiche Frequenz wie am Radio eingestellt in
der Applikation ein.

Nutzung
2.1) Audio
Sobald das iPhone im Car Dock eingesetzt ist, werden alle
Audioausgänge (Musik, Telefon und Applikationstöne) ins Auto
übertragen. Um diese zu hören, soll die entsprechende Audioquelle
(AUX oder entsprechende FM Frequenz, abhängig von der
Übertragungsmethode) am Radio gewählt werden.
2.2) Freisprechfunktion
Um die Freisprechfunktion zu nutzen, ist es notwendig, das iPhone
mit dem Car Dock auch per Bluetooth zu verbinden.
Das iPhone wird automatisch per Bluetooth verbunden wenn das
Gerät ins Car Dock eingesetzt wird* und vom Car Dock in der
Bluetooth Verbindung automatisch getrennt sobald das iPhone aus
dem Car Dock genommen wird.
* Anforderungen zur Bluetooth Verbindung:
•
Koppeln Sie die Geräte zuerst (s. Kapitel 1.4)
•
iPhone Bluetooth eingeschaltet
3)
'Car Dock Mode' Applikation
Die Applikation 'Car Dock Mode' ist gratis im iTunes App Store
erhältlich. Sie ermöglicht eine einfache Bedienung der wichtigsten
Funktionen des iPhone im Auto.
