Thank you for choosing an Oehlbach product.
The Oehlbach Scope Audio Max was developed to enable clear reception of digital signals. Oehlbach's deve-
lopment department has designed an antenna that combines the latest technology with exceptional design.
The Scope Audio Max is installed within minutes and is easy to use. Before using the antenna, please read
this manual carefully and remove all parts from their packaging.
The Scope Audio Max Box contains the following parts:
∙ DAB+ / FM Antenna
∙ Y-shaped cable with gold-plated F-plug & USB-plug
∙ USB power supply unit (The device may only be operated with the supplied power supply unit)
∙ instruction manual
The optimal installation location for the antenna
Before connecting the antenna, determine the best location for optimal reception. In most cases, the best
location is near a window. DAB+ receivers / radios often have a signal strength indicator (level indicator)
which can be used to fi nd the best antenna position. It must also be taken into account that digital signals
can be refl ected by diff erent objects and that this can also have an infl uence on the reception quality. Please
note: Do not place the antenna next to large metal objects or equipment that may cause interference.
Directly connect the Scope Audio Max to your radio / receiver
1. Make sure the radio/receiver is turned off .
2. Connect the coaxial cable of the Scope Audio Max to the antenna connector of your radio / receiver.
3. Connect the USB cable to the USB power supply and plug it into a wall outlet.
4. You can now switch on the Scope Audio Max at the controll wheel and freely adjust the gain to fi nd the
best possible reception.
5. Now you can switch on the radio / receiver and search for receivable channels.

Possible sources of error
My device is on a metal shelf. Will the antenna work there?
Large metal objects can severely impair the reception quality of the antenna. Try positioning the antenna
outside or above the metal shelf. If you want to use the antenna inside the shelf, you should prefer the
upright position.
My walls have aluminum insulation. Where should I place the antenna?
If you have poor signal quality, place the antenna near a window to avoid interference and improve signal
strength.
Can I use my antenna in a basement?
Radio signals cannot normally be received in a cellar. Please note: Other infl uences that are not related to
the antenna power can also aff ect the reception. These can be, for example, long distances to the nearest
transmitter or objects that represent a resistance for the signal.
