defrosting

Defrost the appliance once or twice per year or when the layer of ice has reached a thickness of 3 to 5 mm.
Around the inner drain opening, ice can occur more quickly. This is normal. Regularly scrape loose the ice when the layer is
becoming thicker.
• 24 hours before defrosting, set the appliance to the fast freeze position. The products in the freezer will become extra
cold, so they can remain out of the freezer for a longer period of time without defrosting.
• Turn the thermostat knob to the OFF position
• Remove all products from the freezer. Store the frozen products on a cool location, packaged in newspapers and blankets.
• Open both drain openings on the inside and at the front of the freezer and place a receptacle under them.
Keep the cover opened and wait for the ice to defrost.
• If necessary, remove the ice using a plastic scraper.
Warning: never remove ice with sharp objects, defrosting spray, hair blowers, heaters, or anything similar. This could lead
to unsafe situations and cause irreparable damage to the appliance.
• Clean and dry the freezer.
• Set the thermostat to the required position.
• Only place frozen products back in the freezer once it has reached the required temperature.
