caused by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instruc-

• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
• The product must not become damp or wet.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, as it could become a dan-
gerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
Driver/Software Installation
• Boot your operating system (Windows XP or higher) and wait until the boot has
finished.
• Connect the HD capture box via the USB cable provided to a free USB2.0 port of
your computer. Windows then recognises the new hardware; cancel the hardware
detection.
• Insert the enclosed CD into an appropriate drive on your computer. If the installation
software does not start automatically, you must start it manually.
• After the installation of driver and software completes, restart the computer.
Connection
Depending on the available devices whose AV signal you want to digitise, the corres-
ponding cable connection is to be made.
Note the labels on the HD capture box; inputs ("IN") and outputs ("OUT") are available
for each of the following:
• Stereo audio signal
• SVideo signal
• Component video signal
• HDMI AV signal
The respective signal fed in at the input is transmitted to the corresponding
output. The HD capture box can thus be looped into a signal connection in
order to record it.
Tips and Notes
• It is necessary to use a USB2.0 port to prevent interruptions and juddering during
the video recording.
• Connect the HD capture box only to a USB port capable of delivering a current of
500 mA (e.g., a USB port of the computer or of a USB hub with separate power
supply).
• Restart your computer after driver installation, since otherwise the HD capture box
will not be recognised properly by Windows.
• The recording of a copy-protected HDMI signal is not possible.
• When connecting a component signal, make sure that the 3 cable connections are
not confused.
• Pay attention to the comprehensive (English) operating instructions on the provided
CD.
