automatically activated and AL. ON will show in the display.
Activating / Deactivating the alarm
Activate or deactivate the alarm using the ALARM ON/OFF
button. If activated, AL. ON will show on the display. When the
given rainfall is reached, ALARM will flash on the display and
the alarm will sound continuously for one minute and then once
a minute. Stop the alarm beep by pressing the ALARM ON/OFF
button once. The beep will stop and ALARM will continue to
flash on the display. If nothing further is done, the rainfall value
will be reset at midnight and the alarm is activated for the next
day. If you wish to completely stop the alarm, simply press the
ALARM ON/OFF button again.
Disconnected signals
If, for no obvious reason, the display shows NO SIGNAL for
an extended period, press the SEARCH button in the battery
compartment to enforce an immediate search. If this fails, check:
1. That the collector is still in place.
2. The batteries of both the collector and the rain gauge.
Replace the batteries if necessary.
Note: Low temperatures will affect the battery performance,
lowering the voltage supply and the effective range of the
unit. In this case it is recommended to use Alkaline or, if
available, Lithium batteries.
. That the transmission distance has not been exceeded and
is free of obstacles and interference. Reduce the distance if
necessary.
4. If all of the above fails, remove the batteries from the rain
collector and wait for app. one minute. Install the batteries
again and press and hold the SEACH button in the battery
compartment of the rain gauge in order to enforce an
immediate search.
Refer to the description in Before you begin.
Interference
Signals from other household devices, such as door bells, home
security systems and entry controls may interfere with the
signals of this product and cause temporary reception failure.
This is normal and does not affect the general performance of
the product. The transmission and reception of rainfall readings
will resume once the interference stops.

Maintenance
The following guidelines will help you care for the JACOB
JENSEN
Rain Gauge so you can enjoy using it for many years.
TM
1. Keep the rain gauge dry at all times. If it becomes wet, wipe
it dry immediately. Liquids can contain minerals that might
corrode the electronic circuits.
2. Use and store the rain gauge only under normal
temperatures. Temperature extremes can shorten the life of
electronic components, damage batteries and distort or melt
plastic parts.
. Handle the rain gauge and the collector gently and with care.
If they are dropped, circuit boards can be damaged, resulting
in malfunction.
4. Keep the rain gauge free from dust and dirt, to avoid the
premature wear of parts.
5. Clean the rain gauge by wiping with a soft cloth. Do not use
aggressive chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents
to clean the rain gauge or the collector.
6. Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Always
remove old or weak batteries as they might leak chemicals
that will destroy the product.
7. Modifying or tampering with the internal components of the
rain gauge or the collector may cause malfunction and will
invalidate the warranty.
