Put a theme sheet in the wooden stand.
Set out the accompanying assignment strips
and the beads.
STEP
2
Count the number of times you can find the
image of the assignment strip on the left side
of the theme sheet. Slide this amount of beads
onto the 1st stick. Count the images on the
right side as well and slide this amount of
beads onto the 2nd stick.
STEP
3
Compute the answer to the sum and slide that
amount of beads onto the 3rd stick. Turn the
assignment strip to check the right answer.
Hints
The amount of dots on the theme sheet indicates
the level of difficulty.
Play in pairs. Make 1 assignment strip together.
Let the children copy or stamp the sums on a
piece of paper.
