will not run dry! Push the plug of the DUOMAT cable into the 230 volt mains outlet.
2 Operation
2.1
Actual temperature
During normal operation, the display shows the actual water temperature.
2.2
Setting the desired water temperature (= set temperature) 4
Push the <PROGRAMM> button and hold it down for at least 3 seconds. Then set
the temperature by slowly turning the large control knob (to + or -). Release the
<PROGRAMM> button. The desired temperature is set. The display again shows the
actual water temperature in the aquarium.

Push the <PROGRAMM> button and hold it down for at least 3 seconds. The display
now shows the set temperature. When the button is released, the actual temperature
is shown again.
3 Example of an automatic sequence
control by the DUOMAT 1200 Comfort
Actual temperature:
Desired temperature (= set temperature):
The DUOMAT now regulates the following circuits:
The substrate heater is switched on. The LED <BODEN AN> (SUBSTRATE ON) lights up.
Should this be insufficient, the water heater is also switched on. Both LED's <BODEN
AN> (SUBSTRATE ON) and <WASSER AN> (WATER ON) light up 6. Once the desired
temperature has been reached, the water heater is switched off first and the substrate
heater afterwards.
Should the temperature rise to 25.5 °C, the substrate heater will also be switched off for
a short time. The DUOMAT will always give priority to the substrate heater (Boden-Fluter)
which is so important for the nutrient circulation in the substrate.
4 Summer control
4.1
Function
At high room temperatures the aquarium may heat up well above the desired, set
water temperature. The summer control system will then automatically operate the
substrate heater by "intelligent" intervals only (without raising the aquarium temperature
noticeably). Also on hot summer days this ensures that the essential nutrient circulation
in the substrate will be provided.
4.2
Summer control ON/OFF 7
Push the <SOMMERSCHALTUNG> (SUMMER CONTROL) button and hold down for at
least 3 seconds. The yellow LED lights up: the summer control has been switched on.
Switch off: Press this button again. The LED goes out.
24 °C
25 °C.
