Add Salt
Setup is complete.
Sanitization Procedure
A. Regenerate the system with sodium chloride (salt). Use a clean grade of
salt. appropriate for use with water treatment equipment. DO NOT USE
ROCK SALT.
B. Mix one fluid ounce of unscented household bleach in one gallon of
clean/soft water.
C. Disconnect the 3/8" brine line from the brine valve, and place the brine
line into the container holding the bleach mixture prepared in the
previous step.
D. Manually advance the softener through each step of regeneration
pausing for 10 minutes in each step.
E. Reconnect the brine line to the brine valve and start a manual
regeneration. After regeneration cycle is complete, run an additional
backwash and then return unit to service.
