Please check that the packaging con-
tains all of the items listed above. Should
any item be missing, please contact your
AKG dealer.
3.1 Replacement Battery Packs,
Separate Headphones
The headphones will only operate with
the supplied dedicated battery packs.
To order more battery packs, please con-
tact your AKG dealer.
You can also order separate K 216 AFC
headphones from your AKG dealer.
3.2 Replacement Ear Pads
To mount the supplied, more solid
replacement ear pads, refer to fig. 10:
1. Remove the ear pads (9) from the
speaker capsules.

2. Press the replacement ear pads (10)
onto the speaker capsules as shown
in fig. 10.
4 Placing the Transmitter
Refer to fig. 1.
The T 216 AFC transmitter is a radio fre-
quency device conforming to the related
strict European standards. Due to physi-
cal effects that are not related to the
quality of the product, devices emitting
very high interference radiation may,
however, affect the signal received by the
headphones.
To ensure the best possible reception, do
not place your T 216 AFC transmitter
near radio equipment, mobile phones, or
directly above the picture tube of a TV
set or computer monitor.
5 Connecting the Transmitter
Check that the AC mains volt-
age stated on the AC adapter is
identical with the AC mains
voltage in your area. Operating the AC
adapter off a different AC mains volt-
age may damage the unit.
