5. Use
5.1. System Start-up
Put the car into reverse and the system will automatically be activated and beep once to inform you that the system
check mode is engaged.

5.2. System Check

When powered on, the system automatically detects the sensors. In case of malfunction or if a sensor goes haywire,
the buzzer and the LCD display will alert the driver to the situation for 3 seconds before the system switches to its
normal working mode.
Note: Neither the LCD nor the buzzer will warn the driver of obstacles located in the detection zone of a
malfunctioning sensor.
System check: LCD warning (fig. 2)
Note that the LCD doesn't display a direction for obstacles located behind a malfunctioning sensor(s). See figure 2
below.
5.3. Warning Modes
a) Warning Zones
Safety zone: 100 to 200cm between bumper and obstacle
Caution zone: 40 to 100cm between bumper and obstacle
Danger zone: less than 40cm between bumper and obstacle
When an obstacle appears in different warning zones, the system will warn you accordingly in both modes.
The SPBS4 uses an LCD display plus a built-in buzzer to warn the driver of the exact location of the obstacle.
