D-Q-SIT AIR
Single/dual chamber seat cushion made of individual
interconnected air cells. This allows the seat cushion to
be individually adapted to nearly every user.
D-Q-SIT PROTECT COVER
Flame-retardant according to BS 7175 Crib 5, waterproof,
breathable, can be disinfected by spraying or wiping,
certified according to ÖkoTex Standard 100.

Use

Take the seat cushion out of the box.
• Check the wheelchair for potential hazards which can
damage the seat cushion; see safety instructions.
• Place the D-Q-SiT Air on the chair/wheelchair such
that the fixation straps are in the back so that you can
secure the seat cushion to the chair/wheelchair. The air
valve must be in the front of the cushion.
IMPORTANT!
Please do not use any other materials, such as disposa-
ble sheets, between the surface of the cushion and the
user, if possible. This can have a negative effect on the
characteristics of the seat cushion.
Adjustments
• Place the D-Q-SiT Air on the chair/wheelchair. The air
valve must face forwards.
• Open the valve by tur-
ning it to the left (coun-
terclockwise; photo 1).
• Connect the silicone
hose of the pump to
the open valve and
pump air into the
cushion until it swells
slightly.
• Close the valve by
turning it to the right
(clockwise; photo 2).
• Place the user on the
D-Q-SiT Air (if this
has not been done
already) and open the
valve again by turning
it to the left (counter-
clockwise). Allow the
user to sink down as
far as possible into the
cushion by allowing
air to escape to
ensure the best pos-

sible pressure distri-
bution. Once the user
has achieved his/her
ideal position, close
the valve again by
turning it to the right
(clockwise; photo 3).
• The ideal adjustment
of the seat cushion
is when the distance
between the lowest point of the user (generally the
ischial tuberosities) and the base plate is approx. 2 cm.
• Check the adjustment
as follows: place a flat
hand under the ischial
tuberosities. If you
can press your fingers
approx. 2 cm down-
wards, the D-Q SiT Air
is optimally adjusted
(photo 4).

Cleaning | maintenance

Seat cushion core
Can be cleaned by hand. Use a damp (not wet) cloth with
warm water and a mild cleaning solution.
Do not scrub or brush!
D-Q-SIT PROTECT cover
The cover can be cleaned by hand. To do this, use a
damp (not wet) cloth and a mild cleaning and disinfec-
tant solution. You can also wash the cover in the washing
machine at max. 60°C using a household detergent.
The seat cushion can be disinfected with a spray and
wipe disinfection solution such as Bacilol AF.
During reprocessing of the antidecubitus seat cushion,
take note of the medical device law, the „Guidelines for
the Processing of Medical Devices" as well as the „Gui-
delines for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention" of
the Robert Koch Institute.
Maintenance
The antidecubitus seat cushion is maintenance-free!
