SAFETY RULES
1. Connect battery chargers that are used in the
open via a ground fault circuit breaker.
2. Keep the battery charger away from rain or
moisture. Penetration of water in the battery charger
increases the risk of an electric shock.
3. Do not charge other batteries. The battery charger
is suitable only for charging HAUSSMANN Ni-Cd batteries
within the listed voltage range. Otherwise there is danger
of fire and explosion.
4. Only charge the battery at an ambient temperature

6. Before each use, check the battery charger, cable
and plug. If damage is detected, do not use the
battery. Never open the battery charger yourself.

7. Do not operate the battery charger on easily
flammable surfaces(for example, paper, textiles, etc.)
or surroundings. The heating of the battery charger

1. Charging the battery
The battery is partial charged when purchased and must
be charged fully before operation. New batteries, or a
battery that has been stored for some time, may not
initially accept a full charge. This is normal. It will charge
fully after several charge and discharge cycles. The first
charge of a battery pack will take up to 1hour. Subsequent
full charges will also take up to 1 hour. The batteries
should be charged at an ambient air temperature of

To charge a 14.4V/18V NiCd battery pack,proceed
as follows:
1. Connect the charger to the mains supply and switch on.
The green light will turn on. The red light is off.
2. When the battery pack is inserted into the charger,the
red light will flash(frequency=1Hz). The green light
remains on.
3. When the battery is fully charged,both the green and
red lights will remain fully lit.
4. In the event of a charging failure,the red light will
flash(frequency>2Hz).The green light remains on.
2. Remove the battery
When the battery is fully charged, please remove the
battery pack from the battery charger. Do not leave the
battery in the charger when the charger is plugged in.
