❐ ATTENTION Fire hazard! Do not use the device if easily fl ammable gases are present in
the air. Never use the device if a gas source is nearby.
❐ Always set up the device with adequate space on all sides and above it to prevent the accu-
mulation of heat.
❐ Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm, and heat resistant surface.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to other heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to
prevent damage to the device.
❐ Do not use the device when water or other liquids are nearby in order to avoid the risk of
electrical shock. Set up the device so that there is no risk of the mains cord and plug coming
into contact with water or other liquids.
❐ The device should never be set up and used when highly fl ammable materials are nearby
(curtains, textiles, etc.).
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The
socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains voltage
must correspond to the technical data of the device. Only use proper extension cords, whose
technical data correspond to those of the device.
❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. The cable may not
hang down from the set up area to prevent the device from being pulled down. Never pull on
the mains cord in order to move the device.
❐ Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces, including those of the device.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fl uctuations, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cord.
❐ The device has rubber feet. Some furniture is coated with materials that may affect the rub-
ber feet. If necessary, place a base under the device to stay on the safe side.

Proper use

❐ Check the device for damages prior to each use. If the device, the cord or the plug exhibit
visible damages, the device may not be used. Do not use the device if it had a malfunction or
has fallen down. In this case have it checked by an authorised service point.
❐ Never attempt to repair an electrical device or connector cord yourself, rather locate the
nearest customer service centre/qualifi ed professional for your own safety. In the event of
damage, contact the customer service department.
❐ Never leave the device unattended when in operation and if the contents are still hot!
❐ Ensure that children and animals are not able to play with the device. If the device is in use
and children or animals are nearby, make sure that they do not touch the device or the cord.
❐ Only use fats or oils, which are suitable for high temperatures, that is, for frying. Never use
cold-pressed oils or butter. Observe the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
❐ ATTENTION Burn hazard! During operation, the device becomes very hot. Be absolute-
ly sure that you do not come into contact with the heated parts during and after using the
device. Only touch the handles and the control when the device is in operation or directly
