Fitting Instructions

Applications:
This converter is for transforming a DC
voltage of 12V nominal into a DC voltage of
nominal 24V with common negative ground.
Input must have low impedance (battery or
capacitor buffered).
Installation:
1. Install converter in a suitable location.
Avoid direct wheel water splash, oil and
fuel leakage, ambient heat sources and
complete enclosure by small cases.
2. Disconnect battery.
3. Use cables with sufficient cross section.
For the input, use cross sections of mini-
mum 2.5mm² and for the output 2.5mm².
Distances above 1m require higher cross
sections.
4. The input has to be fused with 35A to pre-
vent cable overload. Do not use higher fuse
values.
5. Crimp connections correctly in accordance
with the standards using suitable parts
and tools. If using clamping systems, se-
lect wire protection systems or use metal
tube termination.

6. Check for right connection! Caution! An
accidental interchange of input and output
causes the converter to shut down.
7. Connect battery.
IMPORTANT
When connecting the converter to
the battery, there will be a spark
charging the input capacitor of the
converter. This is not an incorrect
function.
