The voltage presence detector is maintenance-free.
NEVER try to open the voltage presence detector.

Repair

Because of the encapsulation of the voltage presence detector by potting,
Knick can only repair it to a limited extent.

Return of Goods

DO NOT open the voltage presence detector. Should you have any com-
plaints, please contact Knick before returning the voltage presence detector
and observe the information on how to return a defective product given on
our website: www.knick.de (select your language) > Service > Repairs

Cleaning

The voltage presence detector may be cleaned with oil-free compressed air.
• Always de-energize the input and power supply of the voltage presence
detector before cleaning it.

First Steps for Troubleshooting

• Check if all insulated wires are properly connected.
• Check the green (Power) LED.
– When the power LED glows green, the power supply is connected.
The power good signal is "high" (12 V).
If no power supply is present, the power good signal is "low" (0 V) and the
power LED will not glow.
• Check the red LED.
– In case of a fault, the LED glows red. The limit value relay contact is open (high
resistance). The solid state relay will be triggered as soon as the positive thresh-
old value is exceeded or the input voltage is below the negative threshold.
– A voltage value outside the range 10 ... 14 V signals a fault in the power
supply.

Storage

• Observe the specifications for storage temperature and relative humidity
given in the Specifications chapter.
Disposal
Observe the applicable local or national regulations concerning the disposal
of "waste electrical and electronic equipment".
You can give the voltage presence detector to a certified waste management
company for proper disposal.
