The maximum lifetime of euroline® plastic and textile products is 12 years from the date of manufacture, if not used and stored optimally.
Maximum lifetime of 10 years
In case of occasional and appropriate use, without obvious wear, the maximum lifetime is 10 years from the date of first use.
Storage duration 2 years
The storage period before first use, without service life being diminished, is 2 years from date of manufacture.
In case of compliance with all instructions for safe handling and storage, following non-binding lifetime recommendations can be made:
•
Intensive everyday use
•
Regular year-round use
•
Regular seasonal use
•
Occasional use (once a month)
•
Sporadic use
Metal fittings such as buckles, carabiners, etc. ...:
The lifetime of metal fittings is basically unlimited, but they must also be subjected to periodic inspections that cover damage/wear and deformation.
With use of different materials in a product, the period of use depends on the more sensitive materials.
Extreme operating conditions can make the elimination of a product necessary after a single application (type and intensity of use, application,
aggressive environments, sharp edges, extreme temperatures, chemicals, etc.).
A PPE against falls from a height must always be eliminated:
•
if there is damage to load-bearing components essential for safety, such as belts and seams (cracks, cuts or other)
•
in case of damage to plastic and/or metal fittings
•
in case of stress due to a fall or heavy load
•
after expiry of the period of use
•
if a product appears not to be safe or reliable if the product is outdated and no longer meets the technical standards (change of legal
regulations, standards and technical regulations, incompatibility with other equipment, etc.)
•
if the history of use is unknown or incomplete (inspection logbook)
•
if product labels no longer exist, are unreadable or missing (even partially)
•
if the instruction manual/logbook of the product is missing (because the product's history can not be traced!)
•
See also section: 1)
Regulations for the holder of the equipment
If a visual inspection by the user, equipment owner or a QP has revealed defects or if the PPE's lifetime has expired, it must be eliminated.
The elimination must be done in such a manner that reuse is excluded with certainty (e.g. by cutting and disposing of the straps, fittings, etc.).
In case of frequent use, intensive wear and extreme environmental conditions, the allowed period of use is shortened. The decision on the
applicability of the device must always be taken by the responsible COMPETENT PERSON within the prescribed periodic inspection period.
4)
Repair
Eventual repair, modification or additions to the PPE generally have to be carried out exclusively by the manufacturer.
5)
Care, storage and transport of the PPE
For cleaning a soft brush (dry or damp) is ideal. In case of intensive soiling lukewarm water (max. 40° C) and mild soapsuds may be used
(clean by hand!).
Then rinse in cold water and let it dry in a well ventilated, dry and shady place (never tumble dry or dry over a direct source of heat). ATTENTION:
the tape fall absorber needs a relatively long time to dry, due to the contractible tube!
The PPE has to be kept and transported under dry conditions and protected from mechanic damage, chemical influence (e.g. of chemicals,
oil, solutions and other aggressive substances) as well as from heat sources (ambient temperature/not in direct sunlight) in a bag or container.

Safety notes
Work positioning belts/sit harnesses are not suitable as fall arresters! In work positioning systems only adjustable lanyards („work positioning
rope") with an adjustable maximum length of 2 m are allowed.
Please take special care that no sharp edges endanger the anchor device as well as the safe locking of all connectors (karabiners) and their
authorisation according to EN 362.
Before use you should consider which safe and effective rescue measures are possible in case of emergency.
7)
Application
The work positioning belt/sit harness may only be used with tested and approved components. Thereby the use of work positioning belts with
fall arresting eyelet(s) according to EN 358 is admissible with:
- Work positioning and restraint systems according to EN358
- Lanyard according to EN 354
Any further combinations of equipment elements are not allowed and put your safety at risk. The work positioning belt may only be used for the
intended application and under the described conditions of use.
8)
Liability
A. Haberkorn & Co GmbH is not liable for any direct, indirect or accidental consequences or for any kind of damage resulting from the use of
their products.

Product specific notes
Work sit harness tree austria 3.1
Correct putting on:
Hold the harness in front of the body and step into the open hip belt and the leg loops. Pull the belt up, put it around the
waist and lock the light metal insertion buckle around the waist as with a car safety belt. Take care to fit correctly (not too
loose). The belt ends must be inserted into the rubber belt loops to provide for loose ends.
Lock the thigh loops with the light metal insertion buckles and adjust to the desired size. Also insert the belt ends into
the rubber slide in order to avoid slipping or unintentional opening. The user should carry out a hanging test from a safe
place before using the harness for the first time, in order to guarantee that the sit harness is the right size and offers
adequate comfort for the intended use. The harness can also be used with a seat, which is attached by a push system.
Comfortable and long sitting is possible with the seat! (Attention: it is imperative to order the seat adapter!) The thigh
loops must always be locked! The harness can be equipped with an attachable shoulder belt as well! (Attention: it is
imperative to order the shoulder belt adapter!)
