4. SECURITY MODE (Dipswitch 2 ON)
This is operated by opening a normally closed (N/C) contact across 0V and SECURITY BUTTON
and enabled by an intercom button:
- pressed less than 3 sec, to activate the loop detector for a selected time (dipswitch 7 & 8)
to allow a visistor's vehicle out.
- pressed for more than 3 sec, to activate the relay output to open a gate to allow a visitor's
vehicle in.
5. FAULT INDICATION (Green led DL2) - FAULT DETECT
Short or open circuit
A permanent fault will make the led flash and on power up will cause the buzzer to sound
continuously (e.g. the wire is worn).
An intermittent fault will make the led stay on (e.g. sometimes the circuit doesn't work).
N.B. FOR SENSING LOOP MORE THAN 1 x 1,5 mts., TAU DOES NOT SUGGESTS THIS
KIND OF LOOP METAL DETECTOR
low frequency (see "Interference" chap. 1);
high frequency (see "Interference" chap. 1);
impulse detection mode: the red DL1 LED flashes once;
presence mode: the red DL1 LED remains on for the entire detection
time;
impulsive (or normal): the automation performs a complete opening or
a complete closing manoeuvre on each detection;
hold-to-run: the automation will continue to open and close until the
metallic mass stops in the detection zone. When this occurs the
gearmotor will stop;
INCREASED DETECTION selection: this is activated when a lorry is
detected by the circuit, increasing its sensitivity to detect the trailers
that are high from the ground;
presence mode: the DL1 LED remains on for the entire detection time;
Sensitivity increase/decrease: low;
Sensitivity increase/decrease: medium low;
Sensitivity increase/decrease: medium high;
Sensitivity increase/decrease: high;
Activates the closed circuit detector for a preset time (see chap. 4): 2
sec;
Activates the closed circuit detector for a preset time (see chap. 4): 4
sec;
Activates the closed circuit detector for a preset time (see chap. 4): 6
sec;
Activates the closed circuit detector for a preset time (see chap. 4): 8
sec;
reset: resets the detection electronics and the acoustic device;
normal.
