Before first use
Unpacking and checking
1. Remove the kettle from the packaging and carefully remove all packaging material.
2. Check the kettle and base for possible transport damage.
3. Unwind the mains power cord from the cable winder.
4. Guide the mains power cord through the recess. The base must not wobble.
5. Place the base on a flat and stable surface. This area should be easy to clean,
brightly lit and easily accessible.
6. Place the water tank on the base.
7. Insert the mains plug into a socket with protective contacts.
First use
1. Clean up the water tank by filling it with water up to the MAX mark and allowing
the water to boil (see next section).
2. Discard the water for hygienic reasons.
3. Repeat the procedure twice.

Use

DANGER of scalding/burning
− The kettle becomes hot during use. Burns risk! Only grab it by the
handle.
− Hot steam escapes during heating and boiling. There is a danger of
scalding if touched!
− Close the lid before switching on the device. Otherwise the hot water
could boil over.
− Do not open the lid during boiling or when pouring. Danger of
scalding!
− Do not overfill the kettle! Otherwise there is a risk of burns from water
splashing out.
