7. Mounting Accessories
Always remove the plug from the mains prior to assembly. Hold the collet lock button (see fig.) while unscrewing the
collet nut and screw the accessory in place. Hold the collet lock button while you are fastening the collet nut. Do not
operate the collet lock button while the device is still connected with the mains.
8. Operation
Switch on the device by engaging the ON/OFF switch (see fig.). Set the desired speed with the speed dial (see fig.).
The engine can burn out if too high a load is used at low speed. Only put the device down when the engine has
stopped completely. Do not store the device in a dusty environment as dust particles may penetrate the mechanics.
Always wear safety goggles when using this device.
This device should be used at high speeds for: carving & drilling, working with glass, metals and hardwood.
This device should be used at low speeds for: polishing, delicate work, most plastic materials.
9. Maintenance
Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities.
The device is designed to function for a long time with a minimum of maintenance. Cleaning the device after use and
treating it with respect will enhance the life of your VTHD25.
10. Cleaning
Clean the casing regularly with a soft cloth when you are through. Remove all dirt and dust from the ventilation slots.
Use a cloth moistened with soapy water for tenacious dirt. Do not use oils or solvents such as alcohol, ammonia, etc.
These substances damage the plastic parts.
11. Lubrication
The device does not require any extra lubrication.
