3.Drain the fuel.

Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain
conditions. Do not smoke or allow flames or sparks in the area.
a. Remove the fuel tank cap, and empty the fuel tank into an
approved gasoline container using a commercially available
gasoline hand pump to empty the tank.
Do not use an electric pump.
b. Turn the fuel valve lever to the ON position and loosen the
carburetor drain bolt by turning 1 to 2 turns counterclockwise. Tip
the pump slightly to allow draining fuel to clear the control linkage.
c. After all fuel has drained, tighten the carburetor drain bolt
securely, turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position and reinstall
the fuel tank cap securely.
