g) Other potential damage
ATTENTION!
There is a risk of material damage during operation in the event of improper use! You must
observe the following safety information:
• Do not point the device at the same spot for an extended period of time. Switch the device on for a
maximum of 30 seconds, then allow it to cool for at least 10 seconds.
• When working with the device, be aware that the heat given off by the device can be conveyed to and
cause damage to hidden flammable materials.
• The device must not be left unattended when in an operational state.
• Keep all body parts, clothing, the extension cable and other objects away from the heating element (3),
heat shield (2) and conical nozzle (1). Do not touch any of the aforementioned surfaces until they have
cooled fully. There is a risk of burns!
• Always transport the device at the handle and only when the heat shield and conical nozzle have cooled.
• Hold this electrical tool at the insulated handle surfaces only, as the heat shield (including conical nozzle)
may come into contact with power lines (e.g. from a garden lamp) or your own extension cable and
become live. In such cases there is a danger of death from electric shock!
• Keep the extension cable away from the heat shield (including conical nozzle).
• Wear suitable protective clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE), e.g. safety shoes.
