6.2 Setting the pendulum action (Fig. 8)
You can adjust the cutting speed, cutting perfor-
mance the finish to the workpiece you wish to
saw.
Set the adjustor lever (5) to one of the following
positions:
Item
Pendulum action
0
No pendulum action
1
Small pendulum action
2
Medium pendulum action
3
Large pendulum action
6.3 Adjusting the stroke speed (Fig. 9)
Select the required speed using the adjustment
wheel (1):
Position Stroke speed
Application
1 - 2
Low speed
Steel
3 - 4
Medium speed
Steel, soft metal,
plastic
5 - MAX High speed
Softwood, hardwood,
soft metal, plastic
The required stroke speed depends on the wor-
king conditions and the material you wish to saw.
On the one hand you should achieve an adequa-
te working speed whilst on the other you would
like to make a clean cut.
You can generally use a higher speed with fine
saw blades whilst coarser saw blades require
lower speeds.
If you use the jigsaw for a lengthy period at low
speed: Allow the tool to operate for 3 minutes at
maximum speed without any load.
6.4 Cutting in metal
Apply suitable oil to the line along which you wish
to cut.

6.5 Sawing out sections (Figure 10)
Drill a large enough hole in the section you wish
to saw out. Insert the saw blade into this hole and
start to saw out the required section.
In soft materials, such as wood, you can also
proceed as follows: Place the saw blade and the
front section of the saw foot on the workpiece.
Switch on the jigsaw and start the saw blade.
Now slowly reduce the angle of the saw foot
towards the workpiece. The saw blade will dip
into the section that you wish to remove. Do not
move the tool to the side as it does so. As soon
as the saw foot is flat on the workpiece you can
start to saw out the section.
6.6 Angling the saw foot (Fig. 11/12)
The preset standard angle between the saw foot
(15) and saw blade (9) is 90°. You can adjust this
angle to carry out angled cuts.
Pull the lever (11) out of its recess to adjust the
angle.
Push the setting ring away from the saw blade.
You can now adjust the cutting angle by up to
45° on both sides. Keep an eye on the cutting
angle scale on the underside of the setting ring
as you do so. Push the setting ring back towards
the saw blade. Fit two of the teeth completely into
the recess on the saw foot.
Fix the setting by moving the lever to adjust the
angle towards LOCK.
After adjusting the saw foot, check that the guide
roller is correctly positioned.
