Liner Assembly
13.1 Insert the liner correctly into the helmet and fit it well against the base.
13.2 Insert the left front flap of the liner into its seat on the support fixed to the poly-
styrene inner shell and push it downwards until it is completely locked. Follow
the same steps for the central and right flap (Fig. 16).
NOTE: Check the correct assembly of the liner front area by lifting and lowe-
ring the VPS. These movements should be smooth. If this is not the case, repe-
at the steps 12.2 and 13.2.
13.3 Insert the rear right, central and left flaps of the liner into the relevant support
seats in the helmet neck-ring area. Push the flaps until they are fully hooked
onto the support (Fig. 15).

Cheek Pad Assembly
14.1 Insert the band and the left chin strap into the slot located in the padding of
the left cheek pad.
14.2 Insert the rear flaps of the left cheek pad padding into the cavity between the
polystyrene cheek pad and the outer shell (Fig. 14) and push them downwards
until they are under the shell sealing edge.
14.3 Push the padding of the left cheek pad in line with the snap fastener and Velcro
on its back in order to fasten them to their seats (Fig. 13).
14.4 Repeat these steps with the padding of the right cheek pad.
WARNING
-
Remove the inner comfort padding only when cleaning or washing is required.
-
Never use the helmet before completely and correctly reassembling its inner
comfort padding.

Delicately hand-wash in lukewarm water (max. 30° C) and neutral soap.
-
Rinse with cold water and allow drying at room temperature, away from direct
sunlight.
-
Never machine-wash the inner comfort padding.
-
The inner polystyrene is an easily deformable material. It is apt to change or
get partially destroyed to help absorb shocks.
-
Do not modify or alter the helmet's internal polystyrene components in any
way.
-
Clean the inner polystyrene components with a damp cloth only and allow it to
dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
-
Never use tools or equipment of any sort to carry out the steps described
above.

VENTILATION SYSTEM

The ventilation system of the X-551 helmet consists of:
Upper Air Intakes:
the upper air intakes, press on the back part of their button (Fig. 17); To close the
upper air intakes, press on the front part of their button.
Front Air Intake:
it allows conveying air into the shell. Maximum efficiency is reached
when the VPS is active (lowered). To open the front air intake, move the slider
upwards (Fig. 18); to close it, move the slider downwards.
